Today I played some more Phantom Dust and remembered how much I like the music in that one. Well, some of the tracks anyway. I think it's more of a whole-package atmosphere thing, where the music fits the game fabulously but might not be so great to listen to in the car.
Why am I homeless? Why do all you motherfuckers need homes is the real question. They called it The Prayer, its answer was law Mommy come back 'cause the water's all gone
A long shot but does anyone know of any music that has a similar feel to the EVE online soundtrack but that isn't necessarily from a game? I've got "Caramel Prisoner" by Air (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=A5Bb2AK2Ebk ) which is along the right lines but I'm after more. Much more. For reasons I don't want to discuss right now.
But to contribute:
I reguarly listen to the Half-life 2/Ep I/Ep 2 soundtrack, Garry Schyman's Bioshock, Silent Hill 2 and the original Quake.
A point can be MOOT. MUTE is more along the lines of what you should be. - WayAbvPar
There are places you can go to look for music like that. One of my favorites is www.freeplaymusic.com which has a whole load of music from all sorts of genres. Its where I got the music for the first part of http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=p_vS_kDOGRs so you can see the wquality is pretty good.
