Stalvan's quest was a good one. But I had NO sympathy for that thing. He deserved what he got.

Damn right, everytime his curse lifted I would complete another part of the quest and be cursed again, I wish I would've had the foresight to bring along a mage. The Darkshire quests are some of the most fun allience quests around though, but perhaps I only feel that way because I play a paladin.

My own personal favorite is every quest that doesn't involve Gnomeregan. I loathe gnomes.

Nah, the quests there are pretty kickass nomatter what class you are. The ONLY thing bad about the zone is how far Raven Hill is from both the (player) graveyard and Darkshire. Infact, I hear it's faster to griff to Sentinal Hill in westfall and go from there than to run from Darkshire, and I don't doubt it. The zone is great for questing, great for grinding, and very atmospheric. Easily the best sub-30 zone.

Darkshore is a very large zone.  The map doesn't do it justice because it doesn't convey scale.  The Barrens is another such zone.

The difference being that the quests for those zones are spread out. The ones for darkshire send you to raven hill and back far too often for it to be so far away. It's not so much that it's big, but that it's polar.

But that's great for us miners, I picked up alot of iron and tin ore on my way between Darkshire and Raven Hill... Though I did Griph over to Westfall when I had to drop something off in Svens camp.

That's what makes it a pain in the ass, but it's still larger than most, at least along the y axis.

Just got 2 which are different, which is nice.  The kodo taming herding quest in Desolace and the pirate treasure one.

The first gives you an item to find dying and aging kodos and transform them into young tame kodo, you then take back to the goblin who wants them.  No fighting at all unless you run through a wandering mob.  Was trying to think of any quest similar in an mmorpg to date and coudn't come up with one.

The second one is a pirate quest for buried treasure.  Yar!  What's not to like.

Consider yourself lucky - kodo herding was just fixed in this patch.

Yeah, as soon as I saw kodo roundup mentioned I was like "Oh no you DIDN'T". It's fortunate I go running to thottbot whenever I get stuck or God knows how long I would have tried that quest. Also managed to warn 4 people off it over my time spent in desolace. About time they fixed it.

I'm just lucky I guess :)  Its actually a pretty easy quest for a choice of two decents rewards (sadly, neither of which i could use).

Tried doing the "collect 10 kodo bones" while i was in the area; since they were just lying all over the place in and the kodo are non aggressive, i knew it had to be red to me for a reason...

Flashback to Kotor2; disturbing the bones spawns a lvl 38 kodo spirit.  Killed one at 33 by the skin of my teeth.  Then tried the rogue method; pickup bone, hit vanish.  :)  It works but the 5 min cooldown makes it something to do in spurts.  I need to get back there and finish that quest.
