Yeah, yeah, Halo.  awesome, for real

So, has anyone played this? Is it any good? I'm thinking of picking up a couple of cheap copies of it to play in co-op mode now that it's hit the UK bargain bins.

Halo anything Co-op is fun. ODST is not. It's Halo without the shield and toughness of Master Chief.

ODST is my favorite Halo campaign and that is saying a lot coming from me and my undying love for all things Master Chief. The atmosphere is amazing and it is the first game in the series to focus on the characters in the story.

The coop in Halo is always fun especially on the higher difficulties and requires different strategies than you would typically use because as NiX said you lose the toughness of the Master Chief. Besides the coop there is the Firefight mode (Think Hoard in Gears of War) which gets pretty hectic on the higher difficulties. Firefight alone should provide you many hours of coop fun.

Oh and NiX admitting Halo coop is fun is  Heart

It's worth a bargain bin price, plus it comes with the full Halo 3 multi-play map set, if you enjoy that. (Although that's soon to be supplanted by Reach).

I enjoyed it -- played it coop with two friends. Firefight can be really hectic -- we never were that good at it -- but at was a good game. Just not worth full-price, I don't think.

ODST had a identity crisis, it was originally only supposed to be a expansion DLC or something if I remember right. Then they just kept going with it till it got closer to a full game instead.

I pretty much eat up anything Halo, so if you enjoyed any of the other Halo games, you'll probably enjoy this one too.

Haven't really gotten around to playing any of them yet, I'm more of a PC-FPS guy, but I eat up anything co-op on console, so yeah, getting it for the co-op pile. Ordered it!

All of the Halo games have had COOP Fyi.

I haven't played any of them for more than about 5-10mins in total. ODST arrived 2 days ago, though. Into the pile with thee!
