I will bellow like the thunder drum, invoke the storm of war
A twisting pillar spun of dust and blood up from the prairie floor
I will sweep the foe before me like a gale out on the snow
And the wind will long recount the story, reverence and glory, when I go

Hmm, what about Legacy of the Wizard?  Killer soundtrack and a big fun quest on par with the first Zelda IMO.

Or Wizards and Warriors?  That was a great platformer.

Those are probably my favorite somewhat obscure NES games.

Why don't you try our other games?

I never remember the names of the obscure 8bit games I liked.  Never owned most of them, but rented them a lot.  Amazing considering how many shitty games I owned.  Mostly due to family gifts and being young and naive and believing Nintendo Power.

Omg Track and field. Although I still prefer playing it on MAME, when I find it in the arcade it is a must play.

You also forgot about the long jump which is the first event and of course archery.

I used to lick my right fingers and use a crazy motion to get as fast possible usually pushing 1328.

Anyways unbelievably awesome game.

Amen to that. I wasn't much of a Waldo fan, but for some reason my sister and I kept renting it. Hail the days of renting cartridges that resulted in regular inhaler use from all the blowing we had to do.

Love the idea you've got here, by the way. You get the chance, some Burger Time or Marble Madness would be cool to see. Those games made my eyes bleed with love.

Now I have burger time music in my head.  Evil bastard.

For suggestions, how about:
Excitebike (I loved it as a kid)
Bionic Commando (the NES version)
Battle Toads (because it is fun to laugh at people trying to play it)

More suggestions:
Cobra Triangle (only boat game I ever owned...or played)
Mega Man (also known as Rockman. Compare 1st and last of series?) :D
Duck Tales (most played game as a kid)
Snake Rattle'n Roll (weird game,but fun 2.player)
