Ummm... well, when you piss all over your acting career and melt from hotty to ugh, you gotta find some way to pay the bills and rehab. (and in saying that, I am reaching so far off that I will have to climb back on the couch after falling) Oh and I liked that e-trade commercial, but not as much as the shank-a-potomus one. edit: for the link

So, to keep this topic even remotely interesting, let's talk about the e-trade commercials in general. The shank--a-potomus one was brilliant, but I think it is also the last of the good ones. The new ones absolutely suck. They have changed them on some fundamental level that I cannot put my finger on.

New or older baby in the commercials. Not as cute.

New or older baby in the commercials. Not as cute. Yes, that's part of it. But it's more than that. Like the suits have taken over and ruined a good thing.

They're claiming that 'Lindsay' is a single name as recognizable as 'Oprah.' Seems like this is more intended to make that the case, than prove it already was.

Lindsay, like most of Hollywood, has more money than sense. Hey! I pretend to be other people for a living. Please take me seriously!

For me, the baby used to be imitating that "one guy" you all know that is probably high up in sales at some company and seems to have the "know how" on all-things-making-money. He plays hard and works hard. Lately, they are having multiple babies do weird singing skits and related activities. They just don't jive with anything I'm familiar with or can relate to... Barber shop quartet? Huh?

Wait, wait. People found those commercials anything other than creepy/annoying?

I completely agree. I think these are among the creepiest adverts I've ever seen.

I love the E-Trade commercials. Especially the one where he calls the guy in the background "Shank-o-potomus"

The only one I've really liked was the one where the baby starts to sing and the other one tells him its "not the venue."
Also, I imagine this is just a publicity stunt, I doubt people were associating this commercial with Lindsay Lohan...but anyone who has read/seen this story now will.

I've never liked the e-trade baby commercials. They were always fairly annoying to me on some level I just can't pin down. That is until the milkaholic one. That one actually got a really good laugh out of me.

Take...these broken wings... They're ok commercials, usually get a chuckle out of me the first couple times. Now every time I hear Lindsey Lohan's name I'll think Milkaholic. Nice going, Lindsey.
