It's really not. It's fucking identical. Look at the stills. Even the shape of the cliff is the same.
Lots of things are identical in the same way. That cliff shape is common for drama. Its all derivative. But this is like saying Wow copied Ice age. |

I agree with bloodworth, it's purely coincidental and it's common knowledge that arthas' hair turned from blonde to white after his transformation to the lich king so that is clearly not intended to be him.

Not a stretch at all, that's incredibly blatant. No dude, it could have been anything where a guy comes out onto a cliff of exactly that shape (it's very common for drama) from that same angle, and then leans down and wipes away the snow with one hand so he can see what's beneath the ice, and then we get a dramatic overhead shot of him shattering the ice directly beneath his feet, and then this huge thing comes flying up out of the ice. I've seen three Burger King ads and a beer commercial exactly like that today alone. Plus it's not like these guys would ever rip off anything from popular culture.  |

I don't know. I mean ok it's pretty similar and all I don't think there's any denying that but to imagine this is some sort of rip-off or even an homage is pretty far fetched. I realize some here are far big into wow lore and setting but sometimes a cigar is just a cigar, all I see here is a happy russian figure skater. To think that russian people are capable of parody is frankly, ridiculous.
