I'm playing some diplomacy games on another forum I visit and I was wondering if the people here might be interested in a game? I'd run it using Realpolitik. Order submission and diplomacy would be conducted via forum PMs with a 3-4 day turnaround for each campaign season. I imagine there are enough neckbearded grognards here to kick off a game and potentially even a league. If you're interested, sign up below. As soon as there are seven players I'll randomly generate starting nations and announce the first turn. For those of you who haven't played before or don't have a set at home, the rules and sundry other resources are available as a free download from WotC here.

I'm an apathetic, hedonistic, utilitarian, nihilistic existentialist.

Ah the good old times...
Diplomacy! The kind of game that takes weekends to play and can destroy - and occasionally has destroyed - friendships.
I give it a go but quite frankly in my humble opinion it's pointless to play Diplomacy! (well maybe that's the point of the whole game.
If everybody is in it to win and you have at least decent players it's nearly impossible to win and game sessions usually end in a stalemate.
But thanks for the tip mate.

One of the most fun and frustrating games I've played. It's most fun when everyone is high on betrayal-juice and most frustrating when you're up against a three or four man alliance that simply refuses to explode before you've been stomped into the ground.
