Has anyone got any idea how these work? Apparently there's a series of daily quests and optional objectives and such you can do that reward you with Garth Agarwen Challenge Tokens which you can then hand in for items (seems similar to LDON points in EQ or badges in WoW). I've found the vendor, but since nothing in LOTRO seems to be simple or follow basic common sense, there's no sign of the quest givers.
I haven't done it personally, but I do remember something from the dev logs about quests being handed out randomly upon entering the instance, so that might be part of it.
That's quite odd, but okay. We got there but it was pretty late so we poked around and did some quests outside before calling it a night. We tried to go into one of the side instances with 5 of us (the 4 of us plus a PUG we met) but it told us that only 3 could go in. Which is odd considering everything I've read says the two "side" instances are set up for 4 people. (not 3).
I happened to wander into the GA instance a few days ago. The optional quests just pop up when you enter. Since I was alone, I didn't venture far in.
Why am I homeless? Why do all you motherfuckers need homes is the real question. They called it The Prayer, its answer was law Mommy come back 'cause the water's all gone
We got the 4-man instance with the tree on Farm status, the 3-man kicked our arses (well on the boss fight), and we didn't even attempt the 6-man. Most likely we'll just farm the 4-man till we get our token gear, do the 3-man a couple of times so our group can all get the quests done, and come back and 4-man the full fellowship instance when we outlevel it by 10 levels, since getting a 6-man group is near impossible.
