There are a couple of sites which give me no end of troubles viewing, regardless of browser.  SeaMonkey, Firefox, IE, Chrome.  At home or work.  GameSpot and CNet are the ones I notice it most with since I always get links to them.

I can speculate about what is causing the problem and have tried a couple of minor things, but really I just want to know how to fix this.

Hahahaha!  I'm really good at this!

Looks like you strayed into the 'for mobiles' version of the site.

I was thinking more Java related (either updates or it needing to be allowed for certain sites).

It looks like you retrieved the HTML but you can't access the CSS and images for some reason.

I'd view the source, find an image URL or two and then copy and paste that image directly into the address bar and see what you get.

Looking at their code, they use external addresses for their css, js, and likely other files.

i.i.com.com and images.com.com were blocked in my hosts file.  For now I'm allowing them again.  Thanks.

If you use the "new" button it's probably not a double refresh but the browser sending you to the requested post after the page finishes loading, if there are a lot of images you can have time to start scrolling before it will move to the post.
