Yes, I played it before it was released. It sucks pretty badly.

It is for reviews like this that preview copies are made available to the press.

Hahahahaha. I don't think so. There's something fun about reviewing bad games. But it seems to me, unless it's an MMO, that it's a waste of time. Saying "x is shit" goes a lot further than saying "x is worth the play." Most people want to know why to play something. They can pretty much agree with "must be shit."

For the record now: Gamerankings has Suikoden IV at 63%. With IGN having the highest score. I guess we know who's whoring this week.

The new Suikoden sucks pretty bad actually.

I just got it the other day.  I haven't opened it, yet.

Why does it suck and how can you know that?  Did you play it before it was released?

Yes, I played it before it was released. It sucks pretty badly. In other news, Shadow Hearts II: Covenant is fun thus far and there's no question that Resident Evil 4 rocks my socks off.

Shadow Hearts: Covenant is a very good game.  My biggest problem with it though is that the plot seems to lose focus a bit once you get onto the second disc, setting up a final act that really feels like it's another storyline that was just kind of tacked on.

That breaks my heart.
Dammit, Konami, where did it all go wrong?  You used to be so good...  They must have given IV to a different team than III or something.

And this is why I expect nothing from games when I pick them up. Each one gets a clean slate, so in case it sucked so bad compared to the prequel I do not get so depressed and commit ritual suicide in shame.

Currently playing
--------------------
+R&C3:UYA--Blowing the crap of everything as a furry guy with too many weapons of destruction is way to much fun

+Xenosage Episode 1:The Power to Make/Power--Haven't seen a space opera this good since the orignal Capitian Harlock Saga.

+Kingdom Hearts:Chain of Memories--Interesting, releasing a 'Meanwhile, back at the ranch' game on a different portable platform to make the wait for the sequel easier.

+Vandal Hearts--Just added to my esteemed glass enclosed 'Classics Case'

+Vagrant Story--Same as above

+Suikoden I & II--Same as above and you just can't go wrong with beautiful games.

The new Y's game, Ark of Nephitilim or something is quite fun. I've played through the demo. I'll probably be picking that one up.

I didn't really enjoy Xenosaga I, too expensive for cutscenes, but I'm hoping that gets fixed with Vol II.

For those of you who are going to play the new Ys game, why not check out XTCAbandonware for the first Ys game that started it all :)
