Japanese know exploitation well.. There's a slew of films that will simultaneously make you repulsed, pop a woody, and say "wtf?!".. But this is one of the better produced series. Creative directing, cool sets, decent enough story, and a good lead (she was in dozens of films of the same ilk.. much like Pam Grier). I suggest watching the first (701 Scorpion), but they are all worth a viewing, and very different from one another.

Oh and the reason I mention it is that there was a remake last month.. but I haven't gotten anywhere to see it. I would hope the improvements are... in the choreography at least. But this old one is still good. If the Japanese are good at anything, they always have iconic characters. Even in the shittiest of films.
