It's been pretty obvious the editors of news sites are old boomers with the last few celeb deaths.  "Only 50." "Just 57"

Yes, editors, they were younger than you.  These things happen.    awesome, for real

I was a big fan for the character of "Bodhi" alone. Grin

Cancer doesn't care about expected age.  He was diagnosed at stage IV, this was about his expected lifespan.

If it's a person older than the writer, you notice it says "Survived x years" or "lived to x"  None of the mortality-dreading "only" or "just."

So 87 is the about the expected age?  I think you must be thinking of some other planet.

Well I was assuming he was 50, so 23 years below the life expectancy, either way a long fucking time.

His passing now gives a whole new meaning to the term "going Swayze" and "I'm Ghosting".

Indeed...

I just caught roadhouse the other day by chance... how strange to see him all ripped and healthy doing his tai chi and then seeing his last days picture... brutal.

Meh, I'm 31, and I thought "Man, that's sort of young." I know he had cancer and I know he was expected to die around now, it's still not very old for dying.

Clearly I'm only thinking that because ... uh ... I'm the child of Boomers? Sure, let's go with that.

Definitely too early.  I remember hating Dirty Dancing (I was a young male...you were supposed to hate it by default), but I can't help but think he had a career that exceeded all my initial expectations.  RIP.

Surf on, Bhodi. Surf on.

Tuned in, immediately get to watch cringey Ubisoft talking head offering her deepest sympathies to the families impacted by the Orlando shooting while flanked by a man in a giraffe suit and some sort of "horrifically garish neon costumes through the ages" exhibit or something.  We need to stop this fucking planet right now and sort some shit out. -Kail
