So something I missed in the fine print. Beta is only available for 6 hours each day, between 10am - 1pm and 5pm - 8pm PST. Monday - Friday. >_>;

Here's the general instructions:

To redeem the code:
Go to the Playstation Store on the PLAYSTATION3 system XMB.
- Select "Redeem Codes"
- Enter the code (that I give)
- Click Continue
- The download will be on the next screen.

To visit the website:
Step 1: Go to www.us.playstation.com
Step 2: In the upper right hand corner of the page header you will see the Playstation Network icon and Playstation Network ID module. If you are already logged in, go to Step 3. Otherwise, Login.
Step 3: Once logged in, you will find a BETA button next to your Playstation Network ID in the page header. Click on the Beta button to enter the Beta Central section of Playstation.com.
Step 4: Read the Beta Test Program Participation Agreement and then click Continue to accept the agreement and be taken to the MAG Beta Central homepage.

Personal limit of 20 per hour makes it a bit of a bitch to get everyone their keys.

My thoughts exactly.

Everyone who wanted a key has gotten one. Still got about a stack of 90. Starting to have thoughts about how best to capitalize.

The public beta which starts on Oct. 12th (or the 9th for people with pre-order keys) will have the servers open 24/7.

Thanks btw Lorekeep.

I'll be more likely to be on for the 10am-1pm times as I typically start work at 5 (except Monday since I'm usually off that day).  Now I've got to go pick up a headset.

Thanks for the code Lorekeep. Won't be able to give this a shot until Wednesday, and I don't have a PS3 headset yet (since it doesn't take wired ones of any kind....right?), but I'm looking forward to giving this a shot.

I must be dumb, I guess this is US only. It keeps saying that my key is wrong or non-existant. I figured it's a regional thing. Anyone else used Lorekeep's key from Europe?

If it's limited to the US I think you can get right around that by simply making a additional PSN account and saying your from the United States. I did that to get a demo of Killzone 2.

Yea.

I'm having fun with the PMers. I should start a separate thread in Serious Business.

I didn't even have my PS3 set up in time. Sad. But it's because it's out of my control until my roommate resets the HDMI setting back to Component. Note to Sony: Not being able to auto-detect what video input is in the system is the most colossal engineering fuck-up of your system.

Hook up your normal cables and then hold down the power button.  The PS3 will turn on, make a second beep, and reset the video.

I've been trying to get this goddamn patch for like 2 days. Keeps disconnecting.

Even if you were successful previously downloading the patch there is an "update" as of this morning that would require you to download the entire game again plus a little extra.  2.6GB I think.
