This is an old film that I just saw last night and it was really awesome.
http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0142257/From the horrible job with subtitles (which would often pop up 2-15 seconds before the line was spoken, so you were never really sure who was speaking until after the scene had ended, or were always half aware of what was about to happen before it did) to the confusing and amusing plot, and especially the visually arresting images of the film, this movie is great fun to watch. I saw it at the film festival here and the audience really really enjoyed it, to the point where the finale of the film got a rousing cheer and applause before the credits even began to roll.
A nice quote from an Amazon review, actually:
An insane asylum, psychadelic dancers in silver body paint, siamese twins, a pond full of beautiful naked women who are fed from a boat like so many koi, a bizarre family mystery, matching swastika scars on the feet of two different men -one alive and one dead, second-hand cannibalism via crustacean, women sewed to sheep, an island of custom made freaks, an murder scene that was ripped off wholesale for use in a James Bond film (You Only Live Twice), and a revenge plot so insanely convoluted that it must have influenced Oldboy are just some of the head-spinning madness "The Horrors of Malformed Men" has to offer.
Also: Lots of cute Japanese women without their tops on.
