Any worth doing? I'm leery of systems that have too much interconnectivity, to me it means endless searching of the broker/trader/AH to find materials, since BC will never be a functional guild :)

My conqueror would definitely go for armorcrafting, but seems you need a gemcutter and alchemist to do it right, and the good recipes are drops? Sounds like and awful system for casuals.

At the moment I'm thinking of alchemy, for some food/drink/potions. Worry about the more interconnected stuff if I stick long enough to generate craft-level alts. Another thing I miss about EQ2, the ability to have pure tradeskillers.

Alchemy is a nice money maker.  The rest?  Dabbled with, but never took much time to learn anything about it.

The crafting is fairly typical MMO stuff, which is to say it's insanely easy.
