I love my DeathAdder. Fits my skeletal fingers perfectly. I feel kind of dumb that I didn't buy a backup during the $25 wootoff. Refurbs scare me, though.

I prefer the Mamba shape but the Lachesis is growing on me. I played a little Warhammer today for free with it, and it's not bad.

Just hooked up the mamba, using it in wired mode until it charges fully. I went to BB with the intention of buying a logitech but they did not have the mx1100 and the revolution had rediculous dongle and felt a bit too light. Going to try and use this thing as much as I can in the next week to see if it needs to go back. A good mouse lasts me about 4 years I figure $35 a year is worth a pleasant experience.
They need an OEM whitebox version of this thing, easily shave $25 off the price by ditching the fancy packaging.

I just bought the Sidewinder x8. Pretty much covered everything I needed; no charging dock because my old Logitech had one and eventually the gold nubbins wore off and it wouldn't charge. So I needed something with Play-n-charge functionality. And I found it for $55, so much cheaper than the Mamba for me.
Once it gets here, I'll let you guys know how it is.

Where'd you find it for $55? I'd love to replace my Sidewinder on my second computer.

I love my Mamba still. I have the DPI set at absolute max with no acceleration. In most games I have to set the mouse sensitivity to the lowest setting, or near the lowest setting, and barely have to move it around. It definitely takes some getting used to, but the thing is, as far as I can tell, infinitely precise.

Ebay. Bought this one. Cheapest now is $63.99. But Amazon has it up for $59.99. Now I'm trying to decide between the Logitech G11 or the Saitek Eclipse II for a keyboard. Though I hear the Saitek's keys wear down pretty quickly. EDIT: Picked up a G11 for $42. EDIT: Back up to $70.99 on the Sidewinder.

But, but... SUPER-FUTURE GLOW MAKES YOU GAME BETTER! I need to to pick up one of those Customizers though, for when the Logitech inevitably dies.

Model Ms never die. They just need to be brought back to life with a Q-Tip, Isopropyl, and maybe a dishwasher.

Just thought I'd chime in that I love my Death Adder, and as an added bonus - it's a limited edition!

Yeah, we're an IBM reseller, so all our office keyboards are the classic IBM Model Ms.

We have very old IBM Model M keyboards from the early 90's, that are yellow with age, but still work reasonably well. Well, at least I do, as I work inhouse. Most of our engineers or salespeople use Lenovo laptops with a dock.

Just hooked up the mamba, using it in wired mode until it charges fully. Well, what do you think? My main complaint (other than price) is it doesn't charge when your computer is off (charges via USB only). From a movement standpoint it is snappier than my logitech mxlaser but I need to decrease my double click speed as well, the extremely clicky mouse buttons aren't quite as trigger happy as the logitec. Makes for an odd combo snappy speed and slow clicks, I guess I will adjust over time. I need to get a nice mousing surface as well, my current positioning has the seam of my desk running though the mouse area. I really like being able to adjust the sensitivity on the mouse itself. I'm probably not using half the features this thing has (haven't recorded any macros yet) but having this mouse makes me feel good so in that sense it was worth it I suppose.

I know that my Sidewinder X8 wasn't, because it was constantly near-dead, but the Mamba seems to be at full charge all the time. The pedestal lights will dim with the computer off, but it's always at 3 bars when I turn it on.

It's a function of your computer. My one PC keeps a charge on the USB ports even when it is off, while my other doesn't.

Holy shit that is a crazy amount of buttons for a mouse. I would love to see how big that thing is. Also I should be able to make phone calls with it.

This is like watching a parody, like a fictional Pure Pwnage gamer mouse that people think is real. Except it's real.

Sweet, only 18 hrs of MMO play and I *might* know how to click one or two of those buttons. At the current rate I'm playing MMOs, that'll only take 18-36 weeks!

Being a leftie, I use the only left handed mouse I know of, Logitech MX610. It's pretty good I must say.
