So far I have watched up to Intermission. Will finish soon. It's very interesting and surprisingly well-done.

I have had this DVD sitting around for ages and have not yet gotten around to watching it. How do they do the hair?

Yeah I was actually pretty shocked at a fairly faithful and well done version of a Pratchett novel. Especially as a television movie on British television.

Is this after the Intermission? Because I do not know What Hair. The answer may be "poorly". I sort of want the boy to see it but there's a lot of stabbing. And mumbly English.

They may just give Susan a crazy wig, I dunno. In the books her hair is sort of 'alive' which might be hard to do on the budget they seem to have had for this.

Oh, the hair just sits there. Sorry, have not read the source material.

I watch this every X-mass. If you enjoyed this one, watch The Colour of Magic, its the same production team..so same quality. Awesome movie. I hope to see more from this group.

Both of those movies are indeed genius and I love them. Can't wait for a City Watch one from the production team.

Loved both of the movies (although sorry about the changed ending of CoM). Am more hesitant about a City Watch one as I wasn't that impressed by the portrayal of Corporal Nobbs. But I would kill to see Guards! Guards! turned into a film.
Or, for that matter, Wyrd Sisters or any of the earlier witches stories.

Moist is a rather awesome character, and Spike is, of course, sheer joy. Hopefully they can get someone to play her that can pull it off.

The Moist/Vetinari dynamic is pretty fantastic, almost as much fun as Vimes/Vetinari. Going Postal is lots of fun, but in general the City Watch stories are sub-genre of Discworld I've enjoyed the most. What can I say, I'm a huge fan of Sam Vimes and the gang.

Helena Bonham Carter would seem like a contender, although she's probably a bit out of the league for these productions. I haven't seen either film yet; I'm a huge fan of the books, and I worry that a film version just won't resonate with me.

They is really well done, and the production is very good.

Also someone who can pull off Vetinari. Jeremy Irons played Vetinari in The Colour of Magic adaptation. I wasn't entirely sold on it - perhaps because I thought of it as an Alan Rickman role.

Personally I always picture him as Jeremy Brett but of course that bit of casting would require Brett to be alive.

I really dug the Hogfather, although there were a few parts that were severely marred by the book -> movie translation. The entire scene with the shower/bathroom is just gibberish on screen.
