So, I was setting up my machine and fired up my Vuze client, seem recently they added a new option. "Devices". I noticed that there was a PS3 logo under the new heading, and low and behold, it seems you can stream content from Vuze right to your PS3, it even converts it, the PS3 also will automatically detect it on the network. I was streaming in less than a minute. Rather simple and handy. VuzeDevices page.

Vuze is horrible.
In what way? For streaming or other ways? Because the movies I used to transfer last night was all of "Drag file" hit "HD or SD", go to front room and watch. I don't think it could get simpler.

It is simpler, install ps3mediaserver add in your appropriate directories. Go to video on the crossbar and select the big green play button and you have access to browse all the directories you selected and play the media of any sort.

You have made me a convert. Still love Vuze as a torrent client however.

Streaming over wireless hasn't worked so well for me. The PS3mediaserver did well if I degraded the quality some (downloads were HD).
I've been using a trial of Twonky and just copying the files to the PS3. No stuttering there. However, that usually involves converting the file with Handbrake, which can take a while.

Well, for some reason, the ps3 server decided to stop seeing my PS3, even though it worked perfectly when I first installed it. Nothing on ether system has changed, it just wont find it.
