Hey, now that my schooling is done (again), I'm trying to dip my toes back into EVE. I've used the last six to eight months fairly productively -- I haven't been generating cash (other than datacores), but I have kept my training up since I'd occasionally do a mission or what not.

Right now, I can fly an absolutely evil Drone Domi, I can fly a Helios with gold-standard scanning skills, I can fly interceptors, I can fly both light and heavy interdictors, I've got the bulk of what I need for Recon ships (skill level is low), I'm missing only Jump Drive skills for BlackOps, I can fly a mining barge, I have solid leadership skills, and the only reason I'm not got the skills to fly a logistics ship is I haven't bothered to fly somewhere and buy the skillbook. Oh, and last I was checking I was making a nuisance of myself with a massively evil drone cruiser in PvP. Right before it got blown up.

On the downside -- I haven't done squat in months, my skills were amateurish then, and I'm pretty happy in Bat Country -- although I just learned that popping over to Promethia to take advantage of their "not red, don't shoot" policy and do ratting is apparently no longer a valid piece of fun. (How the hell did we get banned from there, anyways? Nobody is active in Bat Country!).

I'm quite happy with my main "hangout" being a lovely little L4 agent in Empire, but I'd like to blow shit up and generally contribute again. Bearing in mind I've only got, maybe, a hundred to a hundred and fifty million to purchase, equip, and insure some ships.

So, bluntly speaking -- what does the more martial arm of F13 need, and how can I help? And how the hell do I even get there? And can I do it without leaving Bat Country, or will I need to switch to whatever the new pew-pew 0.0 corp is?

So I heard. What's the story there, anyways? Because ALL I heard was "Pezzle" and "Banned" and something akin to "And the guy was in F13 and not Bat Country, which makes it doubly stupid".

Morat, as a long time poster I'd say get your ass in GS with the other f13ers and enjoy some of the best space jewing in all of Eve!

Yes, but then I'd be in...*shudder*...GS. I like my drama tiny, and my craziness confined to a mere handful of people.

Actually, I've been considering it -- joining whatever the current pew-pew corp of F13ers is, which is I know playing with GS. Mostly, however, I like the freedom to jump back into Empire with few worries about getting popped as I run around. With Bat Country, we never had enough people pissed at us to worry about running into them in Gallente space.

I had the same initial response.  Goon culture is an acquired taste but it's the most fun I've had in a long time in any game.  I doubt you'll miss Empire.

If you want to join then I can do the freeform contract with your security deposit and even sort out jump transport for all your ships. Will be no bother at all.

Another vote on this, I really didn't care for Goons before I joined...kinda forget why.  But now I can't imagine playing the game with anyone else.

Ha-Ha. Actually, who does run our bulk transport? :) Luckily, my "ships" currently consist of a handful of missioning stuff in Gallente space, and one stranded ratting Domi (and accompying Inty IV) in Promethia.

I have a handful of jump clones around, so getting one of those out to wherever we're based isn't a problem. What's the pricing/availability of Gallente stuff out there (ships, drones, turrets, etc).

It had to be done for security.  Nothing personal.  I do not think you guys mean any harm.

I will form a one-man corp, take my poorly fitted Domi, and rain hell down upon the Citadel for your perfidy.

Everything in Goonspace is pretty close to Empire prices, with some markup for those who transport it in.  In fact some may be cheaper because it's built here.

There are some carrier pilots who will haul your stuff down to C6Y however the timeframe is kinda loose. I'm still waiting for my stuff to be delivered after almost two months in the corp.

Glad to see you back, Morat, but ffs get your ass down here to Goonspace.  If you really don't want wonderfully broken officer spawns but prefer to run missions (I prefer them to ratting myself) then the fact that NPC Delve (which offers them, so long as you don't poison your Blood Raider standings too much in the mean time with Amarr empire missions!) is now going to be the haunt of Rebellion, a really cool bunch of Russians who will probably make it pretty safe to run them in the medium term.

And don't believe the hype on Goons.  The forums require some adaptation, but you dwell in politics here so you'll not find it unbearable.  If you don't want the gay furry porn then just minimise local on fleet ops.  Not for nothing have we managed to seduce the forum culture of most of Eve - even our worst enemies - and to persuade quite a few of our allies that flying with us is a fun thing to do.

I had a Megathron deep in CVA space when I came back, I just put it up for sale at a small markup over Jita prices and it sold in a couple of days.  The market hubs in Delve are pretty well stocked, you should be able to get anything you want.

If you have the time to wait to have something special ordered and made locally then you can usually get a nice discount too.

I've been playing this game for a little with a corp that isn't really doing anything. Is there a spot in the F13 corp for newb-ish pilots or are you guys all piloting dreads and stuff now?

haha I think I need to be taught how to make money because doing these lvl 1s suck.

Come to Delve and buy more. I bought a bunch of BPCs and now we don't have enough ships getting blowed up in fleets to move inventory at the speed I would like.
