There have already been a lot of pre-E3 teaser trailers going up over the weekend on Gametrailers.com as well as other places. Front Mission Evolved, Borderlands, Nier (new Square action-adventure game), Bayonetta, Dante's Inferno, Dead Space: Extraction, and Dragon Age, among others have all had teasers posted up recently.
Also, the Dragon Age teaser announced a release date of Oct. 20th.

I predict...sequels. To major titles. New IP that will inevitably not be that great ala' Mirror's Edge. Some sort of new peripheral from Nintendo...maybe a flagship title?

Alarm didn't go off.
I woke up to Microsoft getting Metal Gear Solid Sideproject and Don sounding like a racist gaijin.
And then I saw a video of Microsoft futzing around with something even dumber than the Wiimote.
I LOVE E3.

I want to beat up Milo and put him right back in the Uncanny Valley.
Also, I can't think of something I want less than a camera that recognizes my naked ass when I walk across the room.
This whole thing is just beyond creepy and does not make my gaming experience better.

Was Alan Wake always x360 exclusive? Yes, microsoft IP. That was worse than the last 5 Sony Press Conferences. Perhaps Microsoft forgot they were like *this close* to winning the hardcore crowd. Man. Wtf.

On MS: I was actually hoping the motion-controller would involve having to wear some kind of skin-tight spandex suit. I'm not even being sarcastic. You cant get a very good resolution from the system having to recognize a person's body w/o any kind of visual "tag." This has already been proven with robust augmented-reality rigs. Sure, they work... but they're not half as fast as ones using current mo-cap style tech (suits, reflective dots, symbology, etc.). But, it's a start. Better than nothing, but leaves the door wide open for another company to come in with something better. If it was me I would've utilized an improved version of the Sixense controller (using mag. fields) or just velcroed dots on people's clothing. Gonna echo Schild here in saying it's a pretty "softcore" attempt at revolutionizing gaming. I'm hoping there's some hardcore buried underneath all the marketing rhetoric, somewhere in the SDK perhaps.

You know, a few months ago I was wondering what games Microsoft had left that required me keep my 360 plugged in versus just buying them all on the PC when they came out.
Of course, the answer is a pretty loud & clear "Nothing. We have nothing left. We shot our wad trying to beat everyone to the market and forgot that 2007 to 2008 might not last forever." >_<

It's easy to forget anything when Reggie Fils-aime keeps driving by your house in a convertible full of whores and coke, screaming into a bullhorn "SUCK IT TREBEK". Apparently this is a huge trainwreck! I look forward to the YouTubes later this evening. The only thing that irritates me is the FFXIII delay. We had better be getting an "International" version or something.

na⋅tal /ˈneɪtl/ Show Spelled Pronunciation [neyt-l] Show IPA –adjective 1. of or pertaining to a person's birth: celebrating one's natal day. 2. presiding over or affecting a person at birth: natal influences. 3. (of places) native: nostalgia for one's natal town. Nice naming choice. >_< I knew it was bothering me the way they were pronouncing it. But now that I've seen it in text. /ugh

Let's not jump to conclusions too quickly yet though guys. Natal can work, it just depends on how versatile the system is and how friendly they plan to be with developers. I'd love to get my hands on a kit (or at least an emulator and API) and really dissect it. Currently though, it seems a joke of an interface compared to something like Sixense... too clunky when the body/facial recognition has to sift all that info. before even outputting anything, especially on a piddly console (even with parallel processing, which I'm betting is crucial to make this work i.e. Natal has its own cpu, it's not just a sensor). EA and Ubisoft is next up. What should we expect from them?

this is microsoft right now Unfortunately, yes. I think the idea is cool. But I can almost guarantee that the execution is shit, if for no other reason than it looks like an afterthought. Like PVP tossed into a PVE Diku Raid game.
