Just got this out on Dvd had no expectations other than what I had read on the cover down the Dvd store, three Jewish brothers trying to survive in the Belarusian forest during WWII after seeing their villages massacred by German SS. On the sufface it sounds a bit schlocky, especially as Daniel Craig is starring but I really enjoyed it, proves quite an epic story.

I would call it adult themed, an action war drama you can enjoy with your girlfriend, wife or partner.

This is a great movie. A little slow, but very very good. If you haven't seen it yet and like WWII stuff, give it a shot.

Decent, character driven flick but a bit dry. Definitely worth watching, just not if you're at all sleepy.

I tried watching it with one of my ladies last night, and we switched to a comedy chick flick about 10-15 minutes into it. Too many dead jews for her I guess. I personally don't recommend this for a cuddle up on the couch flick (and she is pretty good about liking action movies :)

It kind of reminded of Red Dawn a little and yes Slay it's not for all chicks but some would definitely enjoy the drama side of it, well my chick did anyway she loves historical based dramas though.

Watched this with the wife tonight.
Thought it was pretty good. I can see how a lot of people would want to turn it off after the first 15 minutes.
