Awesome Awesome Awesome system (2009 Ford F150 FX4)

But I simply cannot believe (OK sure I believe it) that the f***ing RIAA was able to get their greedy little mitts on MS and disable the Jukebox (HDD) feature of Sync to NOT import my LEGALLY purchased MP3s from my IPod. So I have to have the IPod in the truck to listen to my tunes, which while only mildly infuriating from a logistical standpoint completely pisses me off because now I have to remvoe the dash, find the second USB port and custom build a HDD bracket to dump my tunes into.

Anyone else have any workarounds or do I really got do this over a freaking weekend?  Oh ho ho ho. Reallllly?

Did they push an update via dealer or wireless to the sync (os) that disabled it?

now I have to remvoe the dash

Have fun with that.

Probably will be easiest to yank the seats out to give you the extra room.  Be sure to disconnect the battery before doing so, otherwise your airbag sensors will trip.  They won't inflate, but you'll get a SES light saying it's time to service them and the only way to have it turned off is to take it to the dealer.

Which they'll then try and void your warranty.  Time to get up to speed on the Magnuson Moss Warranty Act.

Ford and Microsoft together, clearly something actually did go wrong.

Personally I bought an iPod adapter for my Acura RL from http://www.usaspec.com/ and it works beautifully.  They seem to make them for Fords as well.

Easiest solution would probably be to get a Honda awesome, for real
