For me, it's KOTOR2.  I know it came out today, but part of the fun is looking forward to something.  I'm also getting River City Ransom for GBA to have something to do on Christmas Eve.

Nothing, I think. Which is odd considering my wife spent like 400 bucks on clothes this month, while all I bought myself were some new shoe laces.

We almost bought a 42 inch Sony HD Wega TV (god the picture is nice on that thing), but our 36inch antique isn't quite dead yet.  Almost done with Christmas shopping though!

I'll probably buy myself a gallon of eggnog as well.......tonight.

I do know what I'm getting Haemish though. ^_^

Trip to Vegas and Fiesta Bowl.

I just got back from Vegas after spending a week surrounded by geeks other than gamers.  I'm getting myself a delousing and bleaching my eyes while I try to wipe the questions the week brought up from my mind with liberal applications of alcohol.

Oh, and I got myself a laptop. Sweet sweet technology.

I got myself an Xbox. I even wrapped it up, got drunk, yelled at myself, ate some turkey, and fell asleep on the couch.

A weekend with Mary Jane.  No, I'm not inviting Rickey Williams!

I haven't fully decided yet, but either http://www.harmony-central.com/Guitar/Data4/Jackson/SLSMG-01.html"> this, http://www.harmony-central.com/Guitar/Data4/Schecter/006-Elite-01.html"> this, or http://www.harmony-central.com/Guitar/Data4/ESP/LTD-Viper-400-01.html"> this.

Leaning towards the Jackson as it plays the best action wise, but the Viper's pickups are quite nice.  Plus my friend has one, so we could rock out with the same guitar.

Still that Jackson was just love at first riff.

Save 500 bucks, I'd say. There are a lot of good things to get with that...Like more gear. Both Schecters and Vipers are very versatile and a good bang for the buck, but Schecter's are almost PRS quality in the sub-$1000 range. Shit man, I'm even thinking about trading in a Gibson for one. They're better.

Jacksons have the best feel and sound for speed and metal, but even with modifications, they're pretty lame for just about anything else (nothing against that, but it's nice to mix it up, don't you think? If not, then the Jackson's for you).

A Philips HDRW725/02 with a 160 GB harddisk.

A harddiskrecorder was what my wife wanted the most too, just reminding me why I love her so much.

I'm poor.  I bought MVP Baseball 2004 last night for $20 at circuit city (to second Haemish's sentiment -- hey, it's new to me!).  I am in baseball withdrawal, okay?

Thank god Santa isn't poor.  I hear he's getting me RoTK:EE, HL2, and underwear.

I plan on buying myself a decent TV. Any suggestions in the $600-$800 range? I'm thinking 32" flat screen but not sure which one to buy.

Ditto. And it's tough to top last year's "xmas" gift to myself (if xmas means the last week of november): my tv.

While everyone is getting gifts and whatnot, I'm just saving for some land. If I did splurge, I'd get a Digidesign Digi002 or a new guitar, probably a strat.

I'm getting the new and improved Pirates game.  And the best part is that I'm giving it to my wife even though it's really for me but she's going to love it too so I get real present-giving credit.

So that and a pony.

I'm taking the week off between Xmas and New Year's.

10 days of nothing but skiing and playing video games.

I suppose I could take New Year's off to go to a party and get shot down by any number of women, but this year I'll probably just say fuck that and stay home and start a sociopathic chaingun-wielding Fallout 2 character.

Happy Festivus!

Um, never mind.

Me too. It shall be glorious.  Combined with 2.5 days off this week in celebration for my company releasing 4 products I had nothing to do with and I won't be spending a lot of time in the office this December.

That's exactly where I'm at. I intend to buy Pirates, a router, and Bloodlines (possibly WoW too) soon though, and soon happens to be close the christmas so that might count.

My company will be closed from Christmas Eve (that day) until we go back to work on Jan. 3rd. I will be catassing all the games I'm sure to get for Christmas. I also have everything on my body crossed that I don't get sick like I did last year. Sucks ass being off work and so sick that you have to sleep 12 hours a day and can't even concentrate enough to play games for more than about 1/4 of the other 12 hours.

Since I appear to like EQ2, I will be purchasing a fancy SLI motherboard (When they come out? Friday?), a AMD 3000, probably another gig of memory and a big case of buyers remorse after I do it all.

Woot! Nice to hear from ya, Mr. N. How's the music coming along?

Since that Iron Maiden DVD came out, I've been really back into playing my bass and considering a bigger bass, 5 or 6 stringer. I'd like to go 6, because I'd like to tune it to guitar tuning now that I've played so many guitar solos, I keep forgetting it's in bass tuning :)

I really don't see myself playing anything but metal in the next few years, so I should probably stick with the Jackson ;).  It's truly awe inspiring for what it does.

We'll see what kind of deals I can get, I might still end up with a Schecter.

So here's where ya went!

TBH, it sort of comes and goes.  I go through periods where the only thing i do after work is pick up an instrument and play/record, followed by times where I'm positive that I'm a complete hack and should really find another hobby.

S'super cool to hear you're really getting back into it, as you've got way too much talent to waste time playing MMOGs...  :)
