Oh hey there.

So this thing is basically done. I'm gonna polish it up a bit.

Everyone give a cheer for NiX for putting it together!  DRILLING AND MANLINESS

It should be more complete and more up to date than MMORPG.com's list.

Now, we want to keep this thing up to date and fill it in even more, if we missed anything, let us know right here in this thread!

Wow, nice. Needs some icons.

Icons? Might get a bit cluttered and load slow. Unless you mean something like icons to separate the genres/payment method.

Icons? Why? Because MMORPG.com has them? Yea, should we throw up some flash ads too? Maybe make it unsortable half the time? Maybe not update it also?

Now you just need some charts with made up subscription numbers and it will be perfect!  why so serious?

This is a pretty amazing undertaking.  Well done sir.

So I assume by the lack of certain entries that games come off the list when cancelled. Does Hellgate:London still qualify to be on the list?

Hold up, it was just a suggestion. but it could make it easier to read and track, and i like icons. I just thought it was rather plain with just text.

Basically, i was just talking about maybe like an icon for sandbox, and DIKU and P2P and F2P...reusable things, not an icon for each game, not what i meant at all.

Oh, right, also, those other Online lists are filled.

Canceled games are for the Broken Dreams Project.

Citadels of Sorcery needs to drop the (s). The current link doesn't work.
Should be http://www.citadelofsorcery.com/

I know nothing about the game, I just happened to randomly click that link.

I was drinking when I wrote this, so sue me if it goes astray.

A Tale in the Desert 3 is over.  They're in Tale 4 now.

Also, as funny as saying that its genre is "Slavery" is, I'd say "Fantasy" or "Egyptian Mythology" would probably a bit more accurate.

I was enslaved for small parts of Tales 1, 2 and 3.  Teppy implemented levels in Tale 3 and gave me the strength to escape forever.

Is there a subtle difference between the Chinese Myth and Chinese Mythology genres?

Not really, no. It's free to play. We're not specifying what does and doesn't need a box.

No, just a wording difference.

As far as I could tell looking at them all, none of them. Though there are some people with big ideas out there.

Hm. I'm sorta surprised that both Planetarion and Kings of Chaos are missing from the Web Games List. Also, Age of Conan publisher was Eidos.

Discussion links. Jesus. On ALL of them?

Even Signe doesn't have anything to say about ALL those.

I don't know if all the people that read that wiki are the kind of people you want driven back to the forums. Not like that at least. Imagine if all of us went to MMORPG.com one day. There's be a lot of crying nerds, for one. Also, check out how long the DJ Max Portable thread is in the schild chronicles. Yea, No, we're not gonna do discussion links.

This is A Good Thing. Nix, you're awesome. Schild, you're less awesome, but still awesome.

You will continue to be less than awesome until you give me an awesome bow in Demon's Souls.

I'm sure I could come up with 4 words to say about any given korean MMO.

FlyFF: Shit on a broom
Mabinogi: Shit with beast form
Maple Story: 2D Shit with Shit
Lineage 2: Pretty shit with shit
Silk Road: Shit shit shit shit
Ragnarok Online: Original shit with shit
2Moons: Bad Diablo shitting shit

Great list, nice work!

To add, Aion (where currently released) is setup as a subscription and is most likely to be a subscription in NA region when released.

Mabinogi: Shit with beast form

Mabinogi is cooler than you give it credit for.

It's terribly complicated. It looks like there is something worth enjoying in that game, but I don't understand it. I saw elves and giants turning into furrys and shooting anime missiles.

Proposed changes:

Darkfall status from "Closed Beta" to "Paid Beta" or "Release" if we don't want to be that snarky on this list. It's a pretty horrible release, but at least some people are paying money and playing a game there.

Darkfall design methodology changed from "Diku" to "Sandbox". We know what they're trying to copy, and it isn't Everquest.

Tabula Rasa removed. I don't see Auto Assault or Asheron's Call 2 up there, so I assume this list is for in-development or currently operational games only.

Ultima Online design methodology changed from "Diku" to "Sandbox".

Updated. As for DF being Sandbox, I see that as being debatable. I'll put it as both, but I think sandbox should apply to games where the highlight is "do anything" not "kill anything".
