I've been wanting to get a Wii for some time now. I think I finally have a reason and to hell with the wife if she tries to stop me.

That trailer is just fecking brilliant! Brings back memories of cheesy movies at the Exton Drive-In. :D

The intro in the game is a remake of Planet Terror begining, its well done.
About the game tho I could not really play it because I have the, ahem, parrotted version and it lags going to buy it to see if it is worth it.

I got this game for my birthday and I like it a lot. It has a really awesome grind house/b-movie style presentation to it. Lots of cursing, grainy film and lots and lots of violence. It is really fun. the game also has a lot of gun upgrades and reasons to play the levels again. It is pretty damn good for a lightgun game and easily the best House of the Dead game since the 2nd. (which in my humble opinion is one of the best lightgun games ever made) The cool thing is that the game plays differently with the different guns and more so as you upgrade them. You can upgrade their reload times, ammo  count, recoil (how much the aiming reticle moves with every shot) fire rate (this is cool cause  at first you are mashing out the shots and it is not terribly fast, but as you upgrade you can pepper zom...er mutants with bullets like crazy.) and power of shots.

There is also a lot of silly stuff to unlock like art, 3d models, music posters etc. They are all surprisingly cool to mess with. After you beat the game it unlocks the directors cut mode with is alternate paths and scenarios for all the stages and as you complete any of the stages you can play them again with the "extra mutants" mode which puts all kinds of bad guys in the stage.

The game has a pretty sweet scoring system aw well which multiplies your score based on the last 5 hits you made. You kill 5 zombies and the hits (head.body/arms/legs) are all worth different points. After you get 5 targets you have a multiplier. Then every 5 successful targets after that you increase the multiplier, so in theory you can combo the entire level.

Any, not a lot of fun stuff to play on the wii recently but this game is really fun and you get a lot of time out of it if you like arcade style games.

Oh yeah, there is an unlockable dual wield mode.  DRILLING AND MANLINESS

I turned off the default on-screen cursors like what Resident Evil: Umbrella Chronicles had and instead calibrated it to play like an arcade light-gun game.  It worked out great.

Yeah, the wii controller is really impressive as a light gun. It is pretty damn accurate. The first thing I did was turn off the cursor as well. I kept the "danger mode" camera thing on though, cause it helps a little with looking around to shoot the little extra brain icons and when mutants get the crazy idea they can flank you.

It's not a spoof of planet terror, per say, it's a spoof on all 70's grindhouse films. like these, for example.

"They come for brains... you give them ... bullets" was supremely delivered.

You really needed to put a NSFW disclaimer on that video. I almost accidentally the whole IT dept. with that.  awesome, for real

Edit: I really should've known better. Fortunately no one was looking when the Nazi striptease started. Now I want to go home and watch my Ilsa movies. :D
