About 2 years. I was focused on sniping BS, and trained BS V when I left. Luckily I have all the support skills already, so I should be able to fly the hell out of a Vagabond in about 2 weeks.

Affording one is a different matter altogether...

So, does anybody have an alternate link where I can download the huge ass patch from?  Eve's official link is downloading very slowly.

Torrent for patch (1.3GB): http://dl.eve-files.com/media/0903/evepremiumpatch75883-84244_m.exe.torrent

I personally recommend avoiding the autodownloader. I spent the entire weekend downloading the Sisi client starting from the seemingly easiest method to participate in the fleet test and I couldn't get it to work until the last day's event was over. First I tried the regular patch, which failed. Then I downloaded the full installer, which also failed. Then it recommended to use the fallback installer, which, too, showed the exact amount of failure. I downloaded the fallback installer again, this time using Wget and cleaning out the hard drives and making more free disk space. Alas, it was still a fail.

It was only when I used Churker's server info with client and patch downloads did I get it to work somehow.

The server is up.

Goon members, in all seriousness let's not discuss that bug until it is more widely known anyway.

I, too, am aware of this bug.

On a different note, it's INTERGALACTIC NEWS!

"The event in Seyllin has long been foretold by the scriptures. Those who deny God's will and those who support heresy are subject to His judgment. The fury and the wrath of the Seyllin star is God's cleansing fire, brought down on the heretic nation with a righteous vengeance. Consequences have been made clear, and the path of safety is clear!" - those cooky Amarrians

SEYLLIN – SCOPE News has established a live feed of the remnants of Seyllin I. The hellish scene confirms that a plasma wave passed through the area, and that the planet’s remains are coalescing back into sphere. Massive fragments are still orbiting the world, and capsuleer traffic has been sighted inspecting the remains. "I have seen a Serpentis MTAC squad wading through pools of molten metal to rescue a bunch of kids."

Got to be a fast link somewhere...

I just remembered the skill queue is in now...I can't wait to get home tonight. Ohhhhh, I see.

Also looking forward to getting blown up in my first wormhole I find, either that or get stuck/spat out in hostile space.

Feel bad for the random pubbie who gets a wormhole exit in PR-.  awesome, for real

as seasoned EVE players you all know patch day is no game day... I took the day off and had some extra time at the pub, sure as hell don't want to experience the boot.ini incident again why so serious?

Well fuck, I made the mistake of logging off in Jita last time I was on (have my +4's JC there).  Now it wont let me log in at all because Jita is "Stuck".  And I should try again later.

Clear your cache and if that doesn't work file a stuck petition(they will move you out of jita if you want)
