Diablo II 1.13 – Tell Us Your #1 Patch Note

Release the Diablo 3 demo from blizzcon.

Widescreen support, just expand the map viewable range.

Already works in Vista from the downloaded version from Blizzard.com.

I can not believe they're patching a game from when I was 16.

Edit: Good news, 3 pages of people asking for widescreen support. http://forums.battle.net/search.html?forumId=12016&stationId=3000&sid=3000&searchText=widescreen

I suspect it may be SLI that is preventing the game from running.  Well, more like a friend suggested that SLI is preventing the game from running, and I need to try that.

I installed it from CD and then copied the MPQ files to the disc to prevent CD verificatiion.  It works just fine.  What issues do you have?

nod to widescreen/modern resolutions.

that's the one thing that's stopped me playing D2 again.

This thread is bothersome because there isn't any actual information on the patch, that I can see.  Blizzard is stirring the anthill for some reason.

When I launched the game, it would start, but then halt before actually... launching the game.

I found out how to fix it here.  Apparently D2 hates colors, or something.  Of course, now it still demands the expansion CD, despite my copying of the MPQs.

So after I made that setting change, I could run D2, and... now I can't figure out what to play.   Ohhhhh, I see.  I may actually be truly done with this game.

Heh. I just checked in on my bnet characters the other night- they were still there but listed as expired. I logged into each on and the expired bit disappeared. Would be fun to get an F13 dungeon crawl together one of these weekends.

Maybe it's better to feed the fever with a game that was released instead of trying to hype D3 with small info releases for an unknown release date?

I want (and maybe I've played for 9 years without knowing how to do it) a hotbutton bar like Wow (and D3 will have) that assigns a skill to a key that can be used wtih that kyb press, not just changing the skill in queue to be r-clicked.

I'm thinking I'll be waiting for D3 on that one.

Widescreen would be hot though.

I'm guessing to get some activity on portions of the battle.net service that aren't exercised by WoW but have been upgraded recently due to upcoming SC2 and D3 launches?

Widescreen support, better resolutions, and SLI support (for the hell of it) would be nice technically, but I want for phat loot to pimp my characters out with.  What does everyone play on here?  I've got a sorc and necro on USEast.

I'd imagine 99% of the people here are playing "Wait for 1680x1050 and 1920x1080, it's the only thing that will tide us over til Diablo 3" support on US West and East.

I've still got my 'zons on USWest. I want that 1920x1200 resolution.

The game still plays ok, but is a bit eye-searing on my widescreen 24".

My wish.

  • Gold has been rebalanced and is now the primary currency used in the game.

In other words. Fix trading.

Yea, that's more work than filling the screen with More Game so widescreen works.

It would require completely reworking a system that just doesn't matter anymore, well, not really at least.

It's amazing how trained my brain is to respond to Diablo as a brand.
