People who tell horror stories and/or give unsolicited advice to pregnant ladies. And the next time someone randomly touches my belly I'm gonna touch them back. Hard.

You're pregnant?! Or is that why you don't like people touching you're belly?

Smokers who toss their cigarette butts on the ground when there's a trash can nearby. You want to smoke? I don't like it, but it's perfectly within your rights. I see a lot of incredibly courteous smokers who stand away or stand downwind of non-smokers. You guys rock. But when they're done, they just toss it on the ground and step on it. That's it? You really think you disposed of it properly? Walk your ass the 10 feet over to the garbage can, stab it out, and toss it in. For some reason, a lot of smokers don't see this as littering. Why not? I look around outside and it seems the vast majority of little on the streets and roads are cigarette butts.
Also the smokers who toss their cig butts out the window of their car as they're driving down the road. Great, not only are you littering, but you could potentially start a fire. Half of Texas has a burn ban in place because its so dry. Now you tossed some smoldering litter on the road. Keep the butts in your car until you get some place that you can dispose them.

This kinda annoys me too, as they make the rest of us smokers that do bother to dispose of our butts properly look bad. Of course, the flip side of them are the obnoxious twats that insist on telling us that 'smoking is bad for you' or that it's a 'dirty habit' or whatever. When I want your opinion on my vices, I'll ask for it.

Back when I was a smoker, I was always wary of putting cigarette butts into a garbage can. I've seen that start a fire on more than one occasion...they can be strangely difficult to extinguish sometimes.

When I want your opinion on my vices, I'll ask for it. Habitually tossing your cigarettes in a trash can is a good way to set them on fire. Just because you stubbed them out doesn't mean they're *out* (every few months the giant planter I use for an ashtray out back burns off all of the old butts because I didn't get one quite completely out). Admittedly, in the Air Force I "field dressed" my smokes (sprinkled out all of the tobacco and stuck the filter in my pocket), but that means walking around smelling like an ashtray. Pet Peeves: People who claim that the smell of smoke that attaches to my clothes and breath qualifies as "second hand smoke". People who believe that second-hand smoke from braving the gauntlet of the smoking area or sharing an elevator with someone just back from their smoking coventry is "more unhealthy than actually smoking" (the studies of secondhand smoke that showed that were of waitresses and other people who worked in bars breathing very smoky air 8+ hours a day for decades). People who pretend to be allergic to tobacco smoke so they can be dickheads and get the ashtrays removed from the doorways. People who talk about how horrible it is that smokers litter because the public ashtrays have been removed and stomping it out on the ground is the only safe option. People who make it illegal to smoke in public areas, then illegal to smoke in your car, then jack the tobacco taxes up every time there's a budget shortfall. For crying out fucking loud, people, I get it, you don't like smoking. I'm willing to take reasonable steps to keep my smoking from being your problem, but I'm getting pretty damned annoyed at the endless parade of bullshit annoyances and petty discrimination. --Dave

i consider myself a conscious person, try not to get in anyone's way with the smoking, don't haphazardly toss my cigs or smoke around non-smokers.. if i didn't cover anything else, too bad.

I don't mind smokers. I just want to be nowhere near them, and they're not allowed in my house. In return, I promise not to rub myself with feces and enter their houses.

Pet Peeves: People who claim that the smell of smoke that attaches to my clothes and breath qualifies as "second hand smoke".
While it's not directly second-hand smoke, it is still considered by medical professionals to be a form of tobacco toxin exposure ("third-hand" smoke). Having smoke residue on your skin or clothing is bad for babies. SIDS (sudden infant death syndrome) is higher in babies who have parents who smoke, even if the parents only smoke outside. It's generally recommended that smokers change their clothes before holding babies or wear a smoking jacket that can be removed before coming indoors and holding the baby. Here's another article from the BBC that discusses risks to infants and children from third-hand smoke.

Take this as baseless speculation, because I can't be bothered to figure out where I'd heard this, but I am pretty sure that I heard this particular myth getting cracked when they later hypothesized that the mothers of those babies were also very likely smoking throughout their entire pregnancy, and that THAT was actually the main cause of SIDS. I'm probably wrong, and yet it seems possible to me so I'll post it anyway.

The articles I looked at suggested that even babies whose mothers who quit smoking while they were pregnant were at risk if they lived with smokers. Smoke stinks for a reason (chemicals), and when a baby is snuggled into your hair and clothes they breathe all that crap in.

Smell is particles of the substance being smelled. If you smell shit, you have fecal matter entering your nostrils. So yes, it's third-hand smoke, with all the chemical goodness.

Don't be silly, have your closest of friends have kids. You not only get to pick up a nice smoking jacket, but you also look like a kind and considerate person.

So I've been living in the Central Florida area for a bit over four years now and in that time one particular radio station has been playing 80s music the entire time I've been living here. Yet they still call themselves "The New" 101.5 The Point. Hello, The Point. It's been at least four years, YOU ARE NO LONGER NEW!
Are they just too lazy to make a new promo? Are they trying to use 'new' to mask the fact they're playing 20 year old music? Are they measuring in geological time? Are they just retarded?

What about movies that have been on DVD for at LEAST two years, still being on the New Releases shelf at the video store, thus costing an extra buck to rent and being rentable for two days less than a regular movie? Oh, right. Netflix: Fuck a Video Store.
