Erm, so I've been buying up some more old XBox 1 games both to replace my PS2 games in order to play on the 360 with BC and to pick up some good games I missed out on earlier.

Are these any good? (XBox versions)

Guilty Gear X2 Reload
SVC Chaos SNK vs Capcom

If so, how good, and are they worth getting over the SF2 HD Remix on XBLA (or as well as)?

SNK vs. Capcom is not very good.

Guilty Gear it depends on what you're looking for. A later version is out for the Wii and a new one just got announced so if you have a Wii it's better to buy Accent Core on that. But all the versions are good games. It falls somewhere between traditional Street Fighter and Marvel vs. Capcom 2 on the crazyness scale.

SF2 Remix is SF2. I assume you know what you're getting there. By comparison Guilty Gear has a lot more specialized systems, super jumping, air dashing, chain combos, etc. It really depends on your taste, it's a game for aficianados.

You shut your fucking mouth.

SVC Chaos is quite fun. Hadn't playmore fucked the finishers, and the animations, and the scenarios, and the sounds, and the sprites, it would have been terrific. Worth up to 5 bucks. Not a cent more.

Guilty Gear is the fighting game for poopsockers. If you don't have freak friends, you won't find fun for long in it. If you do, it's an awesome game.

Az: There is a lot of fun stuff you can get for the original xbox. Keep in mind that if you don't play a lot of fighting games pretty heavily, you wont feel a lot of the silliness that say Marg and myself feel with some games and they will be fun for you regardless of some of their shortcomings at the higher level. Also remember that a lot of the older fighting games have almost no scene anymore. You will have to look for players if you want to get any comp and that can be hard based on the game in question.

Anyway, here is a list of games that I really enjoyed on the xbox and that you can still find with some looking.

-SF Anniversary: Get this game. It have 3rd Strike and a pretty original remix Super Turbo on it. The Super Turbo game on here lets you use older versions of characters like Hyper Fighting Blanka VS Super Turbo Guile. It doesn't sound like much but you can have some fun with it. 3rd strike is there too and a lot of people still play that pretty heavily. I like it but your may vary.

-King of Fighters Neo Wave: Good stuff. First KOF on atomiswave hardware. it is like a KOF 2002 remake with awesomeness added. I like this game a lot. People still play it in small pockets. Still gets play on XBL albeit laggy sometimes.

-King of Fighters 02'/03': Get it just for 02'. It is really that good. 03' is fun for a distraction and you can find this for like $10. Also has online play...

-Samurai Shodown V: Get this cause it came out. It is fun. Not as good as SS 5 Special, but fun especially if you have someone who will take an hour to learn some stuff and make some interesting matches. Also has online play.

-Guilty Gear XX Reload: It is guilty gear, it is good. everyone is playing accent sharp but this game is still fun and you can learn the basics and still add a damn fine game to your collection. Has online play.

-Kokuto Chojin: Just cause you should try it. It is terrible but had some solid ideas. Harder to find because of the koran references.

-SVC Chaos: I like this game. It isn't great but you wont see the BS unless you get good at it and if you stick around to get good at it it's because you like it. It is different and poorly balanced but it has its charm. You can get it for super cheap and the snk takes on capcom characters and demitri's intro animation are worth the price of admission alone.  I played this a lot more than I assumed only cause it was available and it was fun to learn a new system.

If you have a 360 GET HD REMIX.

Also get Battle Fantasia. it is fun.

Margalis: HD Remix. Let's make this happen man. I want to play.

Figured I'd bump this thread to talk to Hammer Frenzy.

My stick finally came in right before we played together. It doesn't have a headphone port, I guess I need a wireless headset. I tried plugging the headset in to the second controller, didn't work. That's why I didn't say anything and didn't hear anything you said.

We should play again after I've practice a bit with the stick. I had it sitting on a cardboard box a little too high and far away from me, which is why I flubbed 90% of my flash kicks.

As you can see T. Hawk is who I've been playing pretty much exlusively recently because that's the only person I can play on a 360 pad. My other characters are basically free wins at this point, especially given that I couldn't do charge down moves at all really. (Guile without flash kick = fail)

Anyway good games.

Marg:
Man good games tonight. I had to skadoo cause I had a dinner to attend and some drinking to do. You got a mean Hawk going there man. I am really happy we got to play. Sorry about all the Ken I was playing. I am trying to get my shit together with him and it is my first real attempt to get anywhere with a Shoto. I hope you get a mic so we can chat and play. Good Games man, you got your shit down. Our matches were really fun across the bored. You have a sneaky Blanka going there too.

 Heart Heart Heart

Finally someone else who plays fighting games....   Ohhhhh, I see.

My Blanka is much much better than I played today. He was actually my main character for a long time. I've lost the timing on all his moves and the range on all my shenanigans. In a couple weeks I should be a lot better.

We'll play again, I'll look into a wireless headset.

Post videos?

A nation consists of its laws. A nation does not consist of its situation at a given time. If an individual's morals are situational, then that individual is without morals. If a nation's laws are situational, that nation has no laws, and soon isn't a nation.
