Knights in the Nightmare (DS) - an SRPG from Sting - the folks that gave us Yggdra Union, Baroque and Riviera. I like their art but I'm hot and cold on their game design. I thought Yggdra Union was just a mess and Riviera could use some pacing work. We've discussed Baroque elsewhere.

Super Robot Taisen OG Saga: Endless Frontier (DS) - More robot RPG action, but now a regular RPG instead of an SRPG. I liked the GBA ones to a fair degree but I don't know if we need a robot bog-standard RPG on the DS.

Shin Megami Tensei: Devil Survivor (DS) - Shrug. This could go either way. I'll pick it up, obviously, but I'm not sure how it'll turn out.

Crimson Gem Saga (PSP) - Bleh. Astonishia Story 2, already released in Asia as Crimsongem Saga (don't ask). Anyway, I wouldn't expect much.

Dokapon Journey (DS) - DS version of the PS2 RPG Dokapon. A strange game, also by Sting, and could be better on a handheld, though I think I'd have preferred it on the DS.

Of course, none of these leaks are really earth shattering or surprising as they've been pumping out portable games in lieu of a steady stream of console titles (who can blame them, their forays into X360 land were so miserable I don't think anyone cares anymore). In fact, now that I think about it, my Atlus purchasing has tapered off to core titles like Persona 4 - and needless to say I'll pick up Devil Summoner 2: Raidou Kuzunoha vs. King Abaddon or whatever when it comes out. I think they need to start thinking a little out of the box on their releases as their current crop is getting stale (not entirely their fault), but it could be hard as XSeed and Marvelous ramp up their publishing catalog. I still think they should go back and localize the SRPG stuff from Flight Plan, but hey, maybe all the stuff they previously grew in fame for doesn't sell anymore. Who knows.

Or they could, y'know, release official translated versions of SMT1 and 2. Shit, I wouldn't even mind if they used the original sprites.

That would require they be able to locate the original source code so they don't have to do a shitty hackjob on the text insertion.

There are a number of Atlus games that will just never see the light of day for this reason, unfortunately. Along with a shitload of other games.

I don't know if that's a leak or if they just felt that a lineup of 4 DS games and a PSP game just wasn't worth an actual press release.

Heh. Nah, they'll put a press release out for _anything_.

I hate fucking portables.  I don't play games on the schoolbus and I don't commute on a train to work, so please to be putting games on my television.

THIS IS THE MOST I HAVE EVERY WANTED TO GET IN TO A BETA

Sometimes I can't get the TV away from other people, sometimes I don't want to stare at a wall while waiting on an oil change, and sometimes I want to explore a dungeon while taking a shit.  A portable has certain uses.

I agree, but i don't have the needs for dungeons. Thank god the best handheld game ever made still works for me! If my unit of this thing died I'd be fucked :(

Also for really bad traffic, as in traffic where it takes 20minutes to move up 2 car lengths, portables/handhelds = awesome. I even keep that retarded Bass Fishing game in my glove box in case I have a passenger. Bo Jackson Baseball/Foodball is for my hands only!
