You're flying a destroyer. They're ok, but most people who can't afford much use them to salvage large amounts of wrecks in instances. Best bet is to move up to cruisers or perfect the art of frigates.

Since you have skill with Caldari you have two options:

Kestrel for PvE (High DPS missile boat. Used to fly one, hella fun popping shit at 15KM+ out.

Merlin for PvP. Only other choice in Caldari really. Don't know much about it, so I have no idea if it's a gun boat or missile boat. I do know it's better for PVP cause the Kestrel has THE shittiest shit capacitor.

I'm sure the vets will pop in with their wisdom.
