I do know this though: For the first time in five years, I find myself interested in the design side of gaming a lot more.... I don't care where it came from, but it sure is nice.

I'm sure you'll do a bang-up job of whatever it is that gets pooped out of that crazy brain of yours. While no two people on this board have the same ideas about game theory or game design (you and me included), you certainly have a very exact idea about The Way Things Should Be. That's good, though. Strong opinions make things happen.
As far as gaming journalism is concerned, yeah, it's basically the same thing over and over. I know for a fact that I could never be a gaming critic, as most games I am able to find the silver lining in, so it's admirable that you've been able to do it with such an accurate critical eye. It's a rare exception when I can actually say that a game is just total dogshit (read: bad kmmos).

Love the wiki part of that page. Eldin voluntarily took over slownewsday.net, some time after Lum sold out. During his reign, Eldin showed his true colours as an asshole and didn't take care of the site very well.
He eventually plunged slownewsday.net into the ground and removed the site forever. It is "rumored" he took the donation money (approximately $3000) that was handed down to slownewsday.net as well. *Edit* Speaking of the history of this little disfunctional part of the interwebz, does any one have any of the post from the gnashing of teeth when wt.o changed into f13? |

I don't like porridge - it's a childhood thingy. But those prune dumplings sound really nice. I just might do that some time soon-ish. Not the potato sort of dumplings, though. I'll have to figure out a time that my sister is around. She loves sweet food and she's always so constipated.
