I'm shocked it took 20mil to make that movie, I figured it cost em a couple six packs and a handicam.

He fucks his anorexic girlfriend on a horsetrack to charge his heart through static electricity I guess since they had to work that angle back in from the first movie, there's a head in an aquarium scene with special animated subtitles and a million shitty gunfights you can't see due to how the movie is shot and he catches a case of bad CG fire from probably one of the least severe shocks he got at the end of the movie and this movie is fucking retarded and terrible.
Wait, were you taking the movie seriously or something? It's a comedy. And since when was Amy Smart anorexic?

Boxofficemojo doesn't have a budget listed so I'm not sure how accurate the $20 mil estimate is.

Wait, were you taking the movie seriously or something? It's a comedy. And since when was Amy Smart anorexic? She looked kinda sickly. Also this movie was just bad, not good-bad, not funny-bad, just bad. Even viewed as a parody or something it's a failure.

Just got around to watching this last night, it was horrible and yet I was entertained in an embarassed to admit sort of way. Not at all what I was expecting, it almost looked like someone snuck the filming of this in as they were doing the original to get a free low budget parody. If it did cost $20 million I would say that $19 million of it went to the actors. Crank 1 + lets hurt some penises + lets load up everyone involved (camera men, writers, directors, actors) with a mixture of laughing gas, speed and acid. If I went to a theater to see this I would have come out feeling like a total fool.

I laughed my ass of watching this movie and that was all I wanted from it. If you expected more ( ), it is your fault.

Then again, I suppose the true laugh is "if you thought we could actually make a sequel to that then you deserve this".

I went in to Crank 2 (opening weekend too I think, theater was about 1/8th full) the girlfriend and I were expecting a completely retarded action-filled absurd movie. I thought it was fucking hilarious, the insane asian hooker was great, the absurdity of shocking himself in new and exciting ways was great, but I could have done without the godzilla fight. That being said, it was so over-the-top absurd that even that was funny, mostly in a "what the fuck just happened?" way.

Nerf understood the deeper meaning of this movie.

I thought the Godzilla fight was the best part of the whole thing. It was like the punchline of the movie.

They should have cut the godzilla fight length in half, then it truly would have been wtf just happened. As it is you figure out wtf just happened as it is happening instead of just after.
