Ugh.

I've had a nasty stomach virus the last week,  so I passed out on the couch last night at 9PM.  Of course,  the good (or scary) part of that is I weighed myself this morning....

Nothing like the sick-as-a-dog diet to drop 10 lbs in a week.  I should culture up some germs and market this!

Ugh, I have had that once. It's the worst I've felt in my entire life. I imagine that Hell itself is something similar.

I had that February last year. I seriously just sat on the couch with my face in my hands for about 5 hours (with breaks so go puke my guts out about every 20 minutes). Went away right after that.

You're one of the lucky ones then. Mine lasted for several days.

Couldn't find any Laurent & Perrier, had to go with some Moet imperial. Not bad stuff.

I've decided that NYE tv shows are completely useless. Tune in at 11:59.

What a slew of soulless, talentless hacks. The only parts we enjoyed were David Cook (doing his boring single, though, stay away from Cornell, Dave) and the band backing...well, I dunno the punk's name, the one on Angry Fergie's whoreshow who looked like Leo DiCaprio's gay little brother. His band fucking rocked, as hired guns often do.

I don't know who 95% of those people were. And that's ok.

Yah.  I had the week long version,  and it was ridiculous.  I actually was counting my calories of intake because it was getting that bad (one day I had a banana,  the next day two pieces of toast, day after  I managed to choke down three pieces of toast),  and my hydration was shit because I couldn't keep down more than half a cup of liquid in a reasonable amount of time.

The really, really, really shitty part?  I'm a tax accountant with a bunch of different clients that need year end planning,  so I still had to go in to work for at least a few hours at a time, because no one could cover me on it.

Gatorade is your friend when you can't keep plain old water down.  Or at least it is if the nausea is alcohol-induced -- not sure if it works for stomach flu also.

Yes, it works for me when I was shooting stuff out of both ends.

Infusion of catnip in your tea.  Seriously.  Fennel, too.  Both in a glycerin base is ideal.  Ginger is good, too.  If you don't believe me, just ask my sister.  She's always making me drink this shit but it works.

Is this for serious?  Sounds... repulsive.

No Nerf, but I put a link to this very thread and I said that you all can guarantee for my purity. I even mentioned your case, and see if they can take a look at your lawn from a Michigan perspective.

It's for real.  The only nice bit is the tea.  Most of the things she gives me when I'm sick tastes awful even if it does work.

Fennel/ginger tea sounds tasty.  It's been too long since I had a cat to remember what catnip might taste like, but it's in the mint family and I like mint.

Infusions make things taste a bit weird.
