(Older) Keytronic keyboards, along with the IBMs were plain bulletproof - if not a wee bit loud.
I'm using a Saitek Eclipse III at present for the k-rad variable-color backlighting and the simple volume control. Part of the lighting across the top has started failing from time to time, though - pondering opening it up and poking at it with a soldering iron (seems to go out when the room is warmer).
