Wow, this topic has went for HOW LONG?! Ok, answers: 1) Get Razer that fits your style/hand most. 2) Get A4Tech, they're like four times cheaper than Logiteach and they are the company that innovates the market. After all, who else was crazy enough to make mouse that can cool your hands with built-in fan, but also warm it with heater, cause sometimes you need heat. You will want to go for their X7 brand with bult in memory (not because of memory, I bet that just like me you will never ever use it or even think up a way to use it for), it's easiest way to figure which of their X7 line is newest 2008 with top quality sensor and which is 2 year's old design (with top quality sensor...from 2006:P). Right now I'm on XL-740K, but if you prefer smaller, they have something awesome with model no AK47. Since mouse costs one third of what Logitech goes for, you will want to buy two of them at once. (I'm actually serious here) - you still save 30% money and get instant replacement if your primary mouse breaks up (my first A4tech started haviing problems with scroll after whole two years of use, so it's quite good build quality). 3) If you want to go for cordless mouse, then then, and only then Logitech is the way to go. Also, lol WTFAppleMouse?! Anyone taking that something seriously. Here is upgraded version from Tchibo (yes, fact that Tchibo is primary a caffe manufacturer is no accident here): That's single most uncomfortable mouse I have ever held in my hands, and jelly orange thing unglues itself and falls off the moment you try to grab mouse by it. Absolute worst piece of engineering ever, but hey - it looks cute and stylish!

Tchibo exists over in the US? Never knew. They're running adverts about their non-coffee shit all day on german TV. --edit: Also, Habu mouse iz best mouse. And it glows nice as in this desk photo (don't even try to read the screen contents, it's blurry >_> ).

I am awesome because I own a limited edition mouse! The X glows periodically. It's actually my favorite mouse since my original 5 button Intelimouse

I also use a deathadder (normal one, not the fancy one) And a diamondback on the server.
I have a Lachesis, but I find the deathadder better overall.

One question, unrelated to this thread. Why on the "awesomeness/failure/majesty/vampires and snow angels and horses/blond hair and whisper-thin brown mustache" part of your profile is there no mention of the random alligator? In your future endeavors I demand at least one random alligator. That is all.

Ikea is Swedish. It's owned by a Dutch-registered foundation but the foundation is owned by the Swedish founder's family.
The more you know. I'd only heard of the Danish connection. (I blame my Danish friend's pride and not my own ignorance.)

i've worn the little glide feet right off my logitech mx1000 lazer mouse, still my favorite mouse of all time and other than scraping accross the desk when i move it still works great. Torn between fabricating new little feets for it or buying a new mouse (unfortunately they don't make this 1 anymore).

I have a fancy shmancy glowy DeathAdder, too. I HATE IT! It doesn't feel good and the scrolling wheel is dreadful. It's headed for the bin and I'm going back to a fancy shmrancy Logitech.

Yeah, the biggest problem I have with Microsoft's mice are the scroll wheels. They just glide too freely for me when I've become accustomed to Logitech's more "bumpy" scrolling. They also just don't seem to have the heft of a good Logitech. Whoever mentioned the A4 mice... Where do you buy them? I tried to find a link to buy one directly off of their site but couldn't find anything. Even the always reliable Amazon let me down.

What the shit did you monsters do to Phildo? I had to go back through his old posts and spend two whole minutes finding an instance of him being quoted to figure out who it even was.

I had a Diamondback. The "seam" that runs along the two halves was so painful and annoying I returned it.

How are you even touching that seam? Maybe I have a later model?
I love my blue Diamiondback....best mouse I have ever owned. Goes great with my white Icemat that I desperately need to clean.
Kind of a shame I suck at side buttons though...I only use the wheel + 2 normal buttons.

Anyone have any experience with the Razer Copperhead? Looking to buy a new mouse, but I'm not willing to fork over ~$80 for the Lachesis and the only two Razers worth buying under that are the Copperhead and Diamondback.

I have used the Diamondback, Copperhead, Deathadder, and Lachesis. My order of preference is Deathadder, Diamondback, Lachesis, Copperhead.
Didn't care for the Copperhead at all.

The G5 is better It's the updated version of the above MX518 with the exact same shaped body, higher resolution, and adjustable weight cartridge. It is missing one button near the scroll wheel, though.

I looked at the G5 but it just doesn't feel the same. I like the gloss smoothness of the 518 better. The weight adjustment on the G5 seems so pointless when you consider the weight on the 518 is just right. The higher dpi might be nice but I'm not a top end gamer, hell I'm barely an bottom end gamer.
All in all the 518 is the shit that gets me bent as far as computer mice go.

As far as i can tell there is zero performance hit for going wireless with a high end Logitech. Why anyone would ever want a wired mouse is just beyond me. Something like the g7 which is rechargeable (or my defunkt mx1000 which is rechargeable) even gets rid of the oh shit battery died excuse. I have heavily used my mx1000 for 3 years now and it still holds a great charge that can last several days (in case I forget to dock it).

Congrats, Tarami. Am I the only person around who uses a trackball? If this thing dies on me, I'm going to cry because MS are bastards and won't start making them again, nor will they license the design to someone else to make.

Probably, yes.
Also, my PC desk area has a very compact (or cramped, whatever) setup, so I don't see the point of a wireless mouse.
And really, how often do you use the mouse away from your desktop? Is the cable that much of a hassle?

That's the exact same trackball I use and pimped earlier in this thread. I didn't realise it was no longer produced though. I'm going to keep my two extra safe from now on.
