Fairly crazy movie, but I liked it quite a bit. Different than most. Angelina is not necessarily "at her hottest" or whatever it is they say, but the new guy (Macavoy?) does a pretty solid job as the unlikely hero type. Toned down Matrix style action, but different premise....also kind of brutal, but not disgustingly so.
Go into it with the right attitude (i.e. leave your physics lesson in your pocket, professor) and it will probably entertain you.

Quite likely the best action movie in this year. Did the right thing by giving the finger to most of the comic story.

I liked it.. I had picked up the comics a couple of years ago on a whim.. and thought they sucked. The movie outdoes them imo. But I watched this originally, despite the comic, because of McAvoy. Good actor. Not his best work.. I mean, it really is a sort of mindless action flick.. But it's pretty good, I think. It's cool that his showing up in stuff like this.

He's good. I haven't seen Wanted, but I first saw him in the BBC version of State of Play (about to be a Hollywood Russell Crowe remake) and he was an unlikely hero in that too. He was excellent in Last King of Scotland, and just to show versatility he was Mr Tumnus the fawn in the first Narnia movie.

Also Leto in the Sci-Fi Channel's Children of Dune movie. I think I kept up with him at first because he's like my caucasian doppleganger or something (well according to some). Heh. But Last King of Scotland was just fucking excellent. So now I'm a big fan.

The action sequences were all right, but the plot reallllly sucked. Aging supervillains ruling the world after killing all the heroes is a much better premise than a guild of assassins who take their orders from magic yarn.

Just watched this.
Possibly the most ridiculous action film I've ever seen. Almost Japanese crazy. Terrible plot, mind-bogglingly cliche-ridden, lack-lustre acting, mediocre script, enormous SFX/CGI budget, that's about it really.
However, if you consider it a parody then it's not a bad one and reasonably funny at times.

Yeah me too, just at bits that I don't think they intended to be funny
