17 PvP and 2 RP sounds like an extremely accurate assessment of their target market. I don't know where they're drawing their population from but the interest in PvP, even though they never got the honor system working in beta, is immense.
There are a hell of a lot of folks from DAOC Mordred and Igraine coming over for the PvP. If you play there, worry not, they're the same folks who came to Shadowbane. Give it a couple of months and you can have them all back. :P

I wish I could be happy... but as a DAoC player I can say that most of the better pvp talents are leaving to play WoW. Yes, many of them are asshats, but they are talented pvp asshats (ok, as "talented" as the DAoC system allows). I have a feeling that RvR in DAoC is going to take a massive hit for the next 2-3 months... longer if Blizzard puts together a PvP system with some incentive.
