Can't watch youtube at work but I am guessing this is some shot of Palin getting molested by a turkey and then she kills it with a bowie knife she whips out of her boot.

I think that news station is a bigger embarrassment.

Ok, let me clarify: in the big picture, nothing could be a bigger embarrassment than her.  But this is an example of a supposed news program that is really little more than sensationalist hacks.  I guess they didn't have any fresh studies on how all our children were in danger.

Why is this embarrassing? Really... as this was meant for the Political forum from the moment it was posted...

I ate meat today at lunch and have no illusions where the turkey's I'll have next week come from. That's the price of entry and trying to make this an embarrassment to Palin because she didn't hide from the icky parts is silly. We all know that the turkey that is pardoned never makes it past dinner time anyway, it's symbolic.

Its embarassing because turkey pardons are a political fluff piece that everyone knows it just for cutesey effect and has no other meaning to even the most naive viewer. Palin shooting a butchering in the background right after the fluff piece would be the equivalent of Bush standing in front of Mission Accomplished and in the next shot being mortar shelled in the Green Zone. Its not like he fooled anyone in the first place, but damn, be a LITTLE circumspect.

I should get back to nature, too.  You know, like going to a shop for groceries instead of the computer.  Maybe a condo in the woods that doesn't even have a health club or restaurant attached.  Buy a car with only two cup holders or something. -Signe

What is this turkey pardon? Is it a symbolic gesture in which you pardon yourself by setting one bird free so you can munch his siblings without guilt?

I don't think that story implies that the individual turkey she pardoned was actually slaughtered.  When this is done at the White House, the pardoned turkey is actually shipped off to some petting zoo for life, not eaten.

All life begins with Nu and ends with Nu.  This is the truth!  This is my belief! At least for now...

I bet most zoos run underground sausage facilities.  I mean, why wouldn't they?
