PvE Aficionado.

How ironic. I fucking hate missions.

Meh, the responses were very clearly skewed towards an agenda. Also my result in no way describes my playstyle nor my responses. 2/10.

It's a simulation of capitalizm in its purest form, and a place where the savvy wins the day.</div>

Here's a shocker:

Eve is just a game. People tend to get really worked up about it, and this is highly amusing. The best moments of Eve is when someone throws a hissy fit after you pwned them when they didn't expect it. You often use the "it's a PvP game-line", but what you really mean by that is that the game is supposed to be exploited and won. No trick is beneath you as long as it lets you get a laugh at the expense of someone else. Everything is valid until CCP says it's not.

I am a Gunslinger-

Eve is a PvP game. The PvE parts of the game are there to drive the economy in order to produce more PvP. Multiplayer is key, and even though solo-play can be fun, the game should be balanced as a multiplayer game. High-sec is as much of a warzone as low- and nul-sec. It's just a matter of finding ways to get at the people living there. You usually play with other people, because when the going gets tough, the tough get some backup.

I also thought the whole questionnaire was a bit biased, as there wasn't an answer to my liking at all in at least two questions. However, if you're really interested in what sort of player you are, I highly suggest going to The Daedalus Project, by Nicky Yee, and taking the quiz about Motivational Assesment. It used to just give you the result as an image, but now it uses an Excel file to paste into for some reason swamp poop

The Daedalus Project is a one man serious business MMO research portal that's been doing surveys and collecting data for years now. I'm sure many F13'ners are aware of who Nick Yee is, but if you're interested in MMOs more than just playing them, this is the only site to go for all sorts of exciting info, tests and current surveys.

The way I read Eve is that there's only griefers and people who won't be playing in a few months. Even the political types are just griefers in disguise. It's a game of wolves and people who experiment. The latter eventually leave if they don't join a pack of wolves as there's no real game there outside of RP-ing a third world space colony.

Snap.

I'm vaguely surprised.  I guess that's what I get for seeing it as an experiment in Darwinism.

Indeed, I have conquered both my fear of failure and greed for success. Truly I'm like Rudyard Kipling's If.

But yes, have been wandering around doing just that - and mostly finding that the quantum rise patch doesn't seem to have made fleet fights any less laggy than I remember from 2 years ago  - POS up in the next few days I hope - just don't tell anyone where smiley
