I don't know if this should go in Graveyard or not, but the press release says 1.2 million copies sold (shipped or sell through?) and 800,000 "current players".

Just putting it out there.
I have never played WoW.

I call fantasy-land number massaging. 

1) It's probably boxes shipped.

2) Do they mention what they mean by current players?  Is that the number of characters created?  I would guess that it is.

1)these are to end of Q which is 9/30?  is it 800k now?

2) they are laying 6% of global staff

3) WAR is in trouble and so is Spore (?)
