I don't even download demos anymore as they can be an engine for DRM as well.

I'd check that out if I'd paid more attention in Deutsch class. I don't like DRM but I won't let it stop me from playing good games (and giving money to the developers of said games). Assuming Sacred 2 is good.

I guess this is where people come in and talk about how they torrented the pirated copy and played it for a couple weeks and it's totally not worth buying.  Ohhhhh, I see.

And send an E-Mail with a list of all your pirated Software to the FBI?
Do I miss something on that DRM topic?

Schild is referring to demos that have had StarForce on them. Think about it. A demo. With StarForce.

If Fallout 3 has securom on it I'm giving up on non-Blizzard PC gaming.

If Diablo 3 has securom I'll kill myself.

I thought securom was the old style, non-invasive disc-checking shit we've used forever?

That was a while ago. It's now Sony's vehicle for delivering their rootkit/spyware/DRM software.

I'm starting to think that the DRM isn't the biggest issue at hand with this game...

Yes, because that interferes with the immersion one has when playing a bikini-clad angel character shooting magic rays from her sword.

Looks fucking awesome.

Looks like the English Demo is out now, early reports that it too installs securom.

<edit> No securom. I still won't be buying this at release though. Decent demo, a bit buggy, and a crappy camera. But bad drm is bad drm.

It's ok.  I didn't topple over or anything.  It didn't even make me fart with joy.  But it's okay.

Have a review copy, has patches unavailable to Europe. Will be playing it today and tomorrow pretty much nonstop. Will give details then. Interestingly, the DRM seems to be in place not as a copy protection (as you don't need the disc to play) but as an MMO-Like, be connected to the web thing. Once you put in the patch not only is a CD not required but you don't have to login online just to play the game. Kinda nice, seems to work flawlessly.

He said he liked it and that you should buy it which I'm going to do today and so should you!  Do it!

(well, maybe not today.  I was just saying it like that for emphasis and to instill a sense of full bladder urgency in you)

I know but I had to take the chance while he couldn't check, didn't I?  Also, I enjoy attributing human characteristics to you like I do with my pussies.

Anyway, he wouldn't do anything drastic.  He lives in that German bit of Australia.
