The iron does not compute.

Why am I homeless?  Why do all you motherfuckers need homes is the real question.

The iron does not compute.

Iron? How about the bottle of Clorox cleaner sitting on the tub, or the febreeze.

If people want to live like this, that's there own choice...but I'm surprised at how violently I want to react to the fact that this person may have a poor kitty trapped under all that foulness.

What the hell is the story behind this?

Mentally ill people being mentally ill.  Not sure why this surprises anyone.  There are a lot of people out there with severe mental illness that don't seek help due to cost, stygma, or both.

It's called compulsive hoarding, basically these people cannot throw anything away ever.

The dude on page 21 obviously spent all his cash on computer hardware instead of garbage bags. Looks like there is an SGI Indy workstation on that desk, and it appears that somewhere in there he has a PowermacG5 by the boxes.

How do you even begin to clean a mess like that? Just start shoveling, or simply light a match and rebuild?
