It would appear that you're too devoted in fanboyism and devotion to really accept that the game has flaws and that if they want to have people stick around they might want to fix these flaws.

I'm not sure where you got that from. I told you why the LUA scripting only has access to elements that Mythic are providing in the default UI. I explained the developer's design decision. I understand that you want the game to be different. When you repeat that ad nauseum to people who can do nothing about it, and I point that out, I'm not being fannish. I'm telling you that you're sounding like a stuck record for no good reason.

For what its worth, I see quite a few things wrong with the game - I don't agree that we should be able to see the mechanics such as an Ironbreaker's grudge or a Black Orc's plan from the opposing side. However, I do think that Mythic should get to work on fixing the CTDs that almost everybody experiences, the client graphics speed which is substandard, and the memory allocation and garbage collection. Those need fixing, and soon. If the interface isn't replete with enough numbers, charts and spreadsheets, WoW hasn't gone anywhere - you could still play that.

I still play that game on my arena teams every week. I enjoy both the act of humping druids around a pole (longest game 5.5 hours, loss) and being the druid humping the pole (longest game just under 2 hours, win).  I uhh would rather NOT do that, largely because its getting harder and harder to not fail med school and play for 5.5 hours straight (one game out of the minimum 10 required for points each week).

I apologize prematurely for lumping you in with all the fanbois who claim that mythic has created robot jesus, mmorpg edition. The reason I repeat this to the community is that it is technically possible to pull up some of  this stuff with the API, but it is increasingly difficult to actually do anything with it (or so I have been led to believe after talking to the WoWAce team, who are porting that over to this game). It feels more like an oversight on the developer team (releasing too few API toolsets) than an intentional design. Hell, I think if they wanted to, they could create most of the things I want currently, but it would be very, very, VERY clunky. I don't want to be a broken record, but it seems that if you bitch at a game developer enough, they occasionally listen. I'd post it on the official forums but you know...

I realize that I'd probably need to compromise on stuff, like not seeing enemy mechanic points but I'd willingly trade that for a general streamlining of the UI as it is. I'd bitch at them to fix the other problems you mentioned, but I'd imagine others are working on that as I speak. An additional case for letting this stuff be optional via mods is that some people (forgive me if I'm being presumptuous, but you seem to be one of them, not that there is anything wrong with that per se) seem to want less UI data. If it really makes no difference in gameplay and is really that superfluous, give me my UI mods and let you play with the vanilla game.

What possible problem could that cause?

If you played one arena match for 5.5 hours you have more issues that just bitching about UI elements.

Have you tried the internet? It's made out of millions of people missing the point of everything and then getting angry about it

Keep an eye on this addon.  Queues you up for all three scenarios much easier.
