One of the threads over the official forums mentioned that as the size of the guild increases, the contribution any individual player makes to ranking diminishes...  If that is correct, we may want to remove guild alts until we hit max rank.

I'm not buying that, afaik it's 1:1 guild rank:RP. Of course, we are about caught up with Six Mouths and they have 330+ so.....

I think it's got to scale with the number of guild members because mine has four hundred people in it and is only rank 10.  Our total renown from all players is almost five million...

Guild leveling is a mystery algorithm but I know the amount of guild mystery points (it isn't just renown, seems like every thing you do counts in some way or another) you need to go up a level goes up with higher membership numbers. I think we're progressing fine even with alts currently.

Guild exp has to do with the number of players in the guild actually contributing exp. So if the alts are just hanging out and not exping, they shouldn't be detrimental to your guild's exp.
