Anyone know anything about this?

And what about the Steam version?

I know it's made by Crytek, and so by definition is a big hunk of mediocrity wrapped in a layer of pretty.

I didn't play Crysis (yet) but I thought Far Cry was a really good FPS. I liked the pretty, and the sandbox elements were also very nicely done. A nice change from FPS-rails.

Far Cry was great until the point where it turned into every other FPS I have ever played.

Why am I homeless?  Why do all you motherfuckers need homes is the real question.

Crysis looks pretty, but I found it fairly uninspired. Got bored and put it aside after a couple hours.

If you just want a game where you can headshot/blow up North Koreans, get Mercenaries for the Xbox.

I didn't even last a couple hours. I put it away after 20 minutes and 15 of that was spent trying to get it to run at a reasonable framerate.

yeah, I've got Mercs on Xbox.

Crysis:Warhead though is at a price-point that impulse-buying works for me. I'd snap it up right away via steam if it's not infetcted with some form of bullshit on there.

EA is publishing it and the guy who made it bitched and moaned about piracy after selling a million copies. To think this wouldn't have some kind of DRM would be backwards logic. I'd expect the unholy union of Starforce and SecuROM.

Well I expect it, to be sure.

I'm wondering how fucked it's going to be, and if Steam's version will share the fuckheadedness.

Yep. Five activations, including Steam.

In other news, Bioshock had it's activation limite removed a few months ago.

If I knew this, and knew BS was on sale on Steam the other week for $15 I'd have definately purchased it...

Yup, impulse bought off steam, downloaded and installed, then had to reboot my machine because I apparently had run Process Explorer since last boot!

... or not.
