Besides my trusty old boots, I've got a thing for red-"ish" shoes.

I was surprised to find these in a bargain bin today (think they were kinda/sorta a limited run). $40

Replacing these (put a red shoelace on it, and it'll pick up cute Asian chicks, all on it's own):

Oh kick ass, a shoe thread. Not kidding. I will enjoy this once I start making real money again. We should do a denim thread next.

Denim: I've decided to only wear Levi's 514's from now on. Slim, but not gay slim. I'm sure there are better pants, but that stuff gets expensive.

I have some of the skinniest jeans imaginable. But then, also, some of the baggiest that don't stray into blacktown. Shoeswise it's just rocket dog, flip flops, cole haan, and one pair of ed hardys (that wasn't god ugly) for now.

DO IT.

I used to go crazy ghetto when I skated (still skate actually, but not as much). They were utilitarian, although I resembled a rodeo clown.

That top pair looks really nice.

I just bought a pair of these:

I've always wanted some Nikes like this, but never owned a pair. I'm finding them really comfortable, and pretty warm, so they'll probably pay dividends in the colder months.

I usually stick to Pumas, since they make incredibly nice, lightweight trainers. I can't do most Skater-type shoes as I feel too clumsy in them. Really anything with a thick sole annoys me.

I have this type, and I find them to be perfect for me.

I only wear two sets of shoes.  My Doc Marten's or my Chuck Taylor's.

What's funny is that Nike calls them "Terminators" now (after Kyle Reese).

Good shit tho.

[edit] Oh shit, I was wrong. They've always been called terminators since 85. Hmm.. That's still after the movie though. I wonder if there's a connection.

They're charging $200 for them though, so fuck that.

I love shoes. Yes, I'm a man, but shoes are awesome. Like clothing. Currently wearing these for different purposes :

On the Converse site you can now make custom looking Chuck Taylor's for like $60.  Don't know if you can make something like that pair, but at least there some options.

Sounds cool...I'll check it out.  smiley

The ones above are badass though. For some reason, they seem like something Holden Caulfield would wear. I need Holden Caulfield shoes.

Not sure if that makes me pretentious, geeky, or a would be assassin.

Haha.. Ya, those stupid limited edition shoes can cost way too much.

I remember my cousin paying 500 bucks for Jordan's back in the day.

I wear these. Shoes/boots are to keep your feet safe and worm free. Now, a sock thread I could get behind. Good comfy socks are as important as shoes, and can be as stylish.

Finally, some *real* footwear.

What's up with everyone wearing sneakers?

I hate all the shoes I have now, except my dress shoes which I never wear (but are ultra comfy and look sharp but are $$$). Finding a good pair of nice brown shoes that go with jeans is *hard*.

Denim: Just got my first pair of Lucky jeans while in San Fran, I think I've found my brand.

I don't know why anyone would bother wearing boots like that, even Doc Martens, unless they are constantly taking their feet off-road or kick things for a living.  Plus they are passé.  Even unfashionable me knows that.

I don't always wear sneakers. Like I said, I wear an old pair of boots. Like these..

One day they'll definitely be "real" shoes, and I'll be cool like Johnny Depp.  tongue

Also have some non-steel toe 8 hole Docs (comfortable, but not hard as nails like the ones above).

Finding a good pair of nice brown shoes that go with jeans is *hard*.

Timberland Torrance. Seriously though. With pants on, they'll look cool. They're also resistant to the elements, easy to maintain, pull on, casual but not.

They also make a lace up that serves the same purpose.

I wear shorts all the time, so tall boots look retarded. I only have 3 pairs of shoes. 1 pair brown DC Axels that are beat to shit:

1 pair of blue Osiris Heltas (I really love them, but they are like 1/2 size too small, I wear a size 15-16):

And 1 pair brown Doc Martin low rise type boot (similar to the pic, but mine look more like a boot):

The thing that sucks about Doc Martin is that you can't resole them.

You haven't lived until you've dropped 150lb modules or a 175lb auto rear end on your foot with just tennis shoes on.  I wear my steel toed boots for work and automotive fun.

I really like my Clarks for work personally.  Also, is this where I'm supposed to mention my secret love of DSW?

I'll add my 2 cents.  I hate the way these shoes look, but for a cushioned trainer I haven't found a better shoe for the money. Asics Gel-Nimbus.  I picked up two pairs for $150 and already have 300 miles on the first pair.  They may steal me away from Brooks and New Balance.

Asics are very ugly, but you should try and find a store that stocks their super high-end shoes. Give them a walk through the store and you'll melt. They're so damn comfortable, of course when you spend ~$250 you'd expect it to do something right.

I have some brown Timberlands now, something like this:

Except mine are steel toed and waterproof. I think I shoulda steered away from the steel toe for everyday wear, they are a bit stiff and hurt my feet after awhile.

I do like the Kings Bay shoes, I'll see if I can find them anywhere. The Clarks look nice too.

Guess I'm going to Nordstrom this weekend (can't ever find anything at DSW!).

Hehe for shoes about the only thing I care about in shoe look is that my shoes are vagule shoe like in appearance and do not look like big orange marshmellows or that they have pogo sticks attatched to them.
