This must be GM's new "Green" policy. They're all SUVs and large luxury vehicles.

Well, honestly who heats the washer fluid besides some large luxury car?

Funny Germans were doing this since 90s and without any fires.

There's nothing better for glass at a subfreezing temperature than squirting a warm liquid on it in the same small spot over and over again.

Anyone buying a car with this inarguably stupid as fuck option needs to die in a car fire. Heater washer fluid is the stupidest fucking option on a car, ever. The only dumber thing they could heat is the air in the tire. But then again the sort of retard fuckshit who thinks heated washer fluid and headlight wipers are "luxury" would probably really think heated tire air elevates him to an even higher socioeconomic class.

If you want to buy a car and it has stupid shit like this on it, demand the same model without the option. IF they don't sell it without the option, buy a different car. If you own one of these, you are a stupid cocksucker. Snakecharmer, I'm probably looking at you.

I take it you've never had to scrap ice off your windshield in sub-zero temperatures.

I drove through quite a few snowstorms and disagree with you.

Depending on outside temperatures, wind and snowfall following can happen to your car:

1. Wipers get coated with ice and no longer remove snow
2. Sprayers get coated in ice and no longer capable of spraying
3. Side mirrors get iced and no longer usable
4. Headlights get mostly caked with ice and get dimmed by 95%

When I know I have to drive through a snowstorm I take my RWD BMW (with 3 sand bags in the trunk) because its the only car that has heating element on front windshield, heated sprayer nozzles, sprayers for headlights, and heated side mirrors. Visibility makes *all the difference*.

Now separately heating washer tank is outright stupid - engine bay heat is there for grabs, you just need to place washer tanks within engine airflow and not in the bumper/fenders like most GMs do.

You could get the fluid that freezes at a much lower temperature. I had ice-melty stuff for fluid one year, and it worked great.

Speaking of which, I should get my washer jets fixed before winter I imagine.

It doesn't matter in New Jersey.  Things burst in to flame for no reason there.  I've seen it happen!!
