It is one of the most infuriating things I've had to personally experience.  I thought Divine Divinity was awesome and was really looking forward to BD, but then it's gaiden-game ended up having starforce and that was that.  If Divine Divinity 2 has starforce or something equally bad, I think it'll be a sign that I might as well give up on pc games sold in the physical medium.  I'm just so tired of being dry-fucked in the rear for spending my hard-earned money to play your rootkit-infested, privacy-invading bloatware pieces of shit.

What you all said.

Divine Divinity was a good game, but the cootie-infested crap that came later...well, never bought it. I would have, but those copy "protection" schemes were pure poison pills.

The graphics look better than I expected, but is it odd that I was hoping for a more modern 2d-sprite game instead of what is shown?

That article mentions 360 and pc both.  Assuming the PC version doesn't have AIDS, I hope hope hope HOPE that Larian Studios is Euro enough to refuse dumbing the game down for the sake of the fucking chocalate-milk-hotpocket-eating halo kids.  My intense hatred of the xbox has been easing back for awhile now to the point that I'm thinking about grabbing one, but something like that would definitely reignite the flames.

Yes! Sacred was awesome because you could be a Dwarf with a grenade launcher!

Today I hit my computer with a cup of coffee.  I'm looking forward to Sacred 2, too.

Let's hope that they spent more than a few weeks balancing the classes. I don't want it to be a borefest like the first one.

Considering they just started the Sacred2 beta a week ago, I don't think it'll be any ore polished/balanced than the first one was at launch.

I'ma buy it anyway.

Sacred 2 is Sept. 30 for the PC. The Xbox and PS3 version should be out Nov. 3. That's per Ascaron's dev posts.

I'm getting both.

I really enjoyed Divine Divinity so I'm afraid to watch that trailer.  I too didn't buy Beyond Divinity due to starforce but by all reports it sucked anyway.

Strangely enough I did not care for Sacred at all.  It felt like a clunky 3d DD which did not appeal to me at the time.

Divine Divinity is now on sale for $5.99, DRM-free, as is everything on GOG.com.
Compatible with Windows XP & Windows Vista (32 & 64 bit).

More importantly, Beyond Divinity is available for the first time ever DRM-Free, and it was never really cracked. Divine Divinity was cracker (first version of Star Force).

Bump.

I have poked the PR handling Divinity 2: Ego Draconis about DRM.

Also, given some of the systems they're touting and the dual-platform release, I have inquired about getting a copy so I can report on any possible consolization before people rush out a few days after Christmas (because I just know you're going to.

Finally, despite my previous post stating otherwise, Divine Divinity was not cracker. It was cracked. I don't know what happened there.

Excellent timing. I never finished Divinity 2 despite having a blast and was looking for something to do now that I finished Dragon Age. Back to Orobas Fjords it is then.
