This story makes me realise now that no matter what I do in life, I am going to burn for eternity in my own special level of hell. (and yes, it's probably only relevant to UK residents)

I wonder how many other unimportant people were diagnosed with Cancer today. Obviously it doesn't suck to be her, out of all those cancer diagnosed folks, she got press for it.

Well, Christina Applegate revealed today that she's had a double mastectomy at the age of 36 due to breast cancer. Her boyfriend was found dead in his apartment in June this year too. It must really suck to be her.  I feel sorry for her. |

Really sucks for her, she's a nice person by all accounts. A rare thing in Hollywoodland for someone raised there as a kid.

It's cervical cancer, which has a high survival rate when caught relatively early (well over 90%).

I've been impressed with Christina. Giving any disease publicity to raise awareness is a good thing, and she's started a foundation which will help women pay for the more expensive but better detection methods if they're at high risk.
And doing it three weeks after surgery...
